Agent Toolkit for AWS is a collection of AWS-supported MCP servers, skills, plugins, commands, and hooks that help AI coding agents build, deploy, and manage applications on AWS. It is used by developers working with AWS services through agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and Kiro. The catalogue entries are the toolkit's own agent extensions for AWS development and operations.
Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00155 | $0.07205 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00062 | $0.02882 |

Grade A, and why
aws-lambda-web-functions scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

AWS Lambda Web Functions
The AWS MCP server is recommended for sandboxed execution and audit logging.
If
aws lambda-webis not recognized, update the AWS CLI (see references/deployment.md). A missing command means an outdated CLI, not an unavailable feature.
Help users build and deploy Node.js HTTP applications on AWS Lambda Web Functions. Your app listens on a port, handles HTTP natively, and gets a global HTTPS URL. Develop locally with node index.js, deploy the same code to AWS.
When to Use Web Functions
- Interactive HTTP traffic someone is waiting on: web app, HTTP API, or SSR site.
- The app is already a port-listening HTTP server (Express, Fastify, Hono) and should stay one — no handler rewrite, no adapter library.
- Handlers are I/O-bound (database, cache, another API, a model endpoint), so many requests share one execution environment and time spent waiting on I/O is not billed as CPU.
- Response streaming matters: SSE, chunked transfer, or proxying LLM tokens as they are produced.
- The endpoint should be reachable worldwide on one hostname without assembling CloudFront, API Gateway and Route53 by hand.
- Traffic is spiky or unpredictable and should scale to zero.
Hard preconditions
Any "no" rules Web Functions out. Invoke the aws-serverless skill to find a suitable service.
- Runtime is Node.js —
nodejs24.x. Python, Java, Go, .NET and Rust are not supported. Confirm the supported runtime list withaws lambda-web helpor the AWS docs before routing a caller away. - Every native dependency has an arm64 (Graviton) build.
- The work is an HTTP request/response (or stream) that a caller is waiting on. Queue, event-stream source (Kinesis, DynamoDB Streams), schedule, or event trigger are not supported.
- One request completes within the 900 s (15 min) request timeout.
- The app fits a 512 MB package and a 2 vCPU / 2 GB environment (see Service Limits).
- Environments are stateless — any environment can serve any request. There is no affinity between an end user's session and a specific environment.
- The app tolerates sharing an environment with concurrent requests. Strict per-request isolation is not supported.

What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

aws-lambda-web-functions is a skill published in the GitHub repository aws/agent-toolkit-for-aws (2,886 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 155 tokens to every session and 7,205 once invoked, about $0.0006 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-02.
