Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00060 $0.01017
Opus 5 $0.00030 $0.00508
Sonnet 5 $0.00012 $0.00203
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00102

Security

Grade A, and why

band-browser scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Band Browser Tabs

Browser tabs are web views attached to a Band workspace. Each tab has its own URL and status, and can be driven from the CLI.

This skill is focused on browser tab management only. For broader operations see the sibling skills:

  • band — workspaces, projects, cronjobs, tunnel, settings.
  • band-chat — agent chat panes inside a workspace.
  • band-terminal — terminal sessions inside a workspace.

Prerequisites

The Band server must be running (started by the Band dashboard app). Connects to http://localhost:3456 by default. See the band skill for general setup and the workspace lifecycle.

JSON Output

All commands support --output json (or BAND_OUTPUT=json env var) for structured output.

  • Success: JSON object to stdout, exit code 0
  • Error: {"error": "message"} to stderr, exit code 1

Commands

List browser tabs for a workspace

band browsers list [workspace_id]

Text output: ID\tNAME\tURL\tSTATUS (tab-separated table). JSON output: {"browsers": [{"id": "...", "name": "...", "url": "...", "status": "..."}]}

Create a new browser tab in a workspace

band browsers create [workspace_id] [--url <string>] [--name <string>]

Text output: the new browser tab ID. JSON output: {"browser": {"id": "...", ...}}

Navigate a browser tab to a URL

band browsers navigate [browser_id] --url <string>

Updates the browser tab's URL in the server state. When browser_id is omitted, auto-detects the workspace from cwd and targets that workspace's first browser tab. Mirrors the shape of chats send [chat_id] --message ... and terminals send [terminal_id] --data ... — panel ID is positional, data is a flag.

Get a browser tab's current state

band browsers get [browser_id]

Text output: formatted key-value pairs. JSON output: {"browser": {"id": "...", "name": "...", "url": "...", "status": "..."}}

Remove a browser tab

band browsers remove [browser_id]

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

band-browser is a skill published in the GitHub repository band-app/band (5 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 60 tokens to every session and 1,017 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
