claude-code-plugins: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/hillclimb/goalify/sonnet/v2/SKILL.md

goalify is a skill for Claude Code from bengous/claude-code-plugins. It costs 84 tokens per session (1,657 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of goalify, MIT.

A task-writing skill that turns a rough request into a measurable completion condition for a coding agent. It includes the end state, proof command, limits, stopping blocker, and turn limit.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to write or interactively refine text pasted after a /goal command.
Why use it?
Vague tasks can leave an agent running without a clear definition of done. This makes the result judgeable from the conversation, even when the evaluator cannot inspect files or run commands.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00084 $0.01657
Opus 5.5 $0.00034 $0.00663
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00017 $0.00331
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00166

Security

Grade A, and why

goalify scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 140 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Goalify

Write the line the user pastes after /goal: the condition, and only the condition. The work it describes is the next session's, not yours.

A /goal condition is read twice. Claude reads it as the directive of the next turn. A small evaluator model reads it after every turn, against the conversation alone: it runs no command and opens no file, so it can only judge what Claude has printed. The condition is written for that second reader. A clause the evaluator cannot settle from the transcript is a clause that never resolves, and the loop runs until the turn cap or the user kills it.

Input

$ARGUMENTS

A draft condition as input is rewritten clause by clause, keeping its intent and replacing what the evaluator could not settle.

interactive as the first word: settle each clause below with AskUserQuestion, one at a time, the recommended answer first; inspect the repository instead of asking when it holds the answer. Otherwise infer, and ask only when two readings of the task give two different end states.

Five clauses

End state. One measurable fact that holds when the work is done, in the present tense: a test result, an exit code, a file count, an empty queue, a score at or above a threshold. Not an activity ("migrate the module") but its trace ("every call site of oldApi is gone and the build passes"), and not an order ("make the case pass") but the fact ("the case passes 20 runs"). Several facts joined by "and" are one end state; two unrelated ones are two goals, run in sequence.

Proof. The command Claude runs and the exact line of its output that shows the end state, printed in the conversation: "bun test --parallel exits 0 and its summary shows 0 fail", not "tests pass". Take the command from the repository's own checks when it has them (package.json scripts, AGENTS.md, CI config); write the proof clause first and derive the end state from it when the task is vague. The proof is the command's own summary line, never an echoed exit code (Gotchas).

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
