Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00134 | $0.02807 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00054 | $0.01123 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00027 | $0.00561 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00013 | $0.00281 |
Grade A, and why
cartographer-review-pr scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 186 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
cartographer-review-pr — review a PR without reading all of it
The rules a PR is held to are CONTRIBUTING.md §Pull requests (size cap,
approved plan, template) and docs/index.md §Documentation maintenance rules;
this skill is only the procedure.
Role
Before anything else, find your role (D955; CONTRIBUTING.md §Working with an agent client):
gh repo view "$(scripts/upstream-repo.sh)" --json viewerPermission --jq .viewerPermission
ADMIN, MAINTAIN or WRITE is maintainer mode; TRIAGE, READ, or any
failure to read it, is contributor mode. State the mode to the user in one line.
Contributor mode runs only §Before opening your own PR: triage and
self-review. It never sends a gh pr review verdict, never edits labels, never
files issues for others and never drafts advisories (§4, §2 comments). Maintainer
mode is the whole skill.
0 — Where the cost goes
A review costs the diff plus the context needed to trust it, and the second term is the larger one. So:
- the design is reviewed once, in the plan issue (a few thousand tokens), never rediscovered from a diff;
- the coordinator, on the most expensive model, reads the triage, the plan's work packages, the reviewer's findings and only the lines those findings cite — never the whole diff of a standard or full-tier PR;
- the code is read by the
cartographer-contract-reviewersubagent (full tier: alsocartographer-security-reviewer), which run on a cheaper model (.claude/agents/, pinned in each definition). Spawn them withAgent,subagent_type: cartographer-contract-reviewer/cartographer-security-reviewer,run_in_background: true(cartographer-source-readerthe same way).
1 — Triage (no code read)
scripts/pr-triage.sh <pr>
About 15 lines: size split into production, tests, docs and generated; areas;
tier; the linked issues and their labels; CI; docs and decision hints;
BLOCK and WARN lines (a PR title scope pr-title refuses included).
What ships with it
3 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

cartographer-review-pr is a skill published in the GitHub repository BeppeTemp/cartographer (50 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 134 tokens to every session and 2,807 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-22.
Other skills, from other repositories
release-pr-review
Review pass on an open release PR (release/ → main) — the step between git-wrapup and release-and-publish when a project releases in gated release PR mode. Reads the PR's commit range through the code-simplifier lens plus a correctness review, verifies whatever an automated reviewer left on the PR, lands fixes as…
prismer-github
GitHub via gh CLI: PRs, issues, reviews, repos, auth.
vhs-e2e-gif
Record a test run, a TUI session, or any terminal command as a GIF with VHS and attach it to a GitHub PR as a release-hosted asset, never a repo commit. Use when asked to record an e2e run, demo a fix on a PR, attach a GIF or screen recording to a pull request, show a test passing visually, or produce a terminal…
pr-body
A tool that reviews all commits on the current branch and creates or updates a pull request title and description. A pull request is a proposed code change submitted for review.
critty
Review code changes or a document with Critty's terminal UI and address the reviewer's inline comments round by round. Use when the user or an approval workflow selects Critty; a generic review request does not count.
pre-pr
Prepare a Honcho change for a pull request to plastic-labs/honcho. Invoke before opening a PR, when drafting a PR body, when asked if a branch is PR-ready, or when filling the pull request template. Checks required tests and docs, then writes Description / Proofs / Fixes.
