design-harnessing-kit: Skill for Claude Code

.agent/skills/workshop-assistant/SKILL.md

workshop-assistant is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from BilLogic/design-harnessing-kit. It costs 35 tokens per session (531 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workshop guide for Compound Designing, a framework for organising product design work into four layers: project context, reusable skills, work steps, and shared knowledge.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to learn or run the workshop, walk through its four layers, or adapt the activities to a project.
Why use it?
It helps users understand the framework and choose the right activities instead of approaching the workshop without structure. It also points them to the relevant files and folders.

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one.

This is BilLogic/design-harnessing-kit's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on design-harnessing-kit itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00035 $0.00531
Opus 5 $0.00017 $0.00266
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00106
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00053

Measured 6d ago against content hash 47c4c4e583a5, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

workshop-assistant scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Workshop Assistant Skill

When to Activate

  • User asks "what is compound designing?" or "how does this workshop work?"
  • User asks to walk through or explain the 4 layers
  • User says "let's do the workshop" or "guide me through the activities"
  • User wants to adapt the framework to their own project
  • User references specific workshop activities or demos

Workflow

Step 1: Orient

Explain the 4-layer compound designing structure:

Layer Location What it is
1. Context Engineering context/ Design system, product landscape
2. Skill Curation .agent/skills/ Prototyper, Consultant, Critic, Compounder
3. Workflow Orchestration .agent/AGENT.md Double diamond process, skill sequencing
4. Knowledge Compound knowledge/ Lessons learned, preferences, ideations

Read context/README.md for the full context layer explanation.

Step 2: Layer Walkthrough

Based on user interest, walk through one or more layers. Point to the actual files — don't duplicate their content:

  • Layer 1: context/design-system/ and context/product/
  • Layer 2: .agent/skills/ — show the 4 skill folders and their references
  • Layer 3: .agent/AGENT.md — the double diamond process
  • Layer 4: knowledge/ — seeded lessons, preferences, ideations

Step 3: Activity Selection

Load references/workshop-activities.md and let user choose which activity to try.

Step 4: Hand Off

When user is ready to do real work, route to the appropriate skill:

  • Research/strategy → Consultant
  • Design/prototype → Prototyper
  • Evaluate/critique → Critic
  • Capture lessons → Compounder

Step 5: Adapt (Optional)

If user wants to apply compound designing to their own project, load references/adapt-guide.md.

References (load on demand)

  • references/workshop-activities.md — the 4 demo activities with step-by-step instructions
  • references/adapt-guide.md — how to apply the framework to your own project

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

workshop-assistant is a skill published in the GitHub repository BilLogic/design-harnessing-kit (2 stars, last pushed 5mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 35 tokens to every session and 531 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
