bklit-ui: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/bklit-changelog/SKILL.md

bklit-changelog is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from bklit/bklit-ui. It costs 40 tokens per session (2,336 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A writing guide for publishing release notes on bklitui.com, including a Markdown article and simple SVG cover artwork. It defines where changelog files, images, routes, feeds, and search metadata belong.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create a dated changelog article, generate its abstract cover art, and connect the entry to the site's feed, search, and page structure.
Why use it?
It keeps a release entry consistent with the site's file layout and publishing rules instead of treating it as an ordinary commit log.

This is bklit/bklit-ui's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on bklit-ui itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything bklit-ui configures →

About the project

Bklit UI is an open-source collection of customizable interface components and charts for building React applications with shadcn. Developers use it to add data visualizations such as funnels, gauges, maps, financial charts, and other interactive displays. The catalogue add-ons provide workflows for using its components and chart registry.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00040 $0.02336
Opus 5.5 $0.00016 $0.00934
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00008 $0.00467
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00234

Measured 14d ago against content hash 3f7ced32f028, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

bklit-changelog scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 14d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (scripts/cover.mjs), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Bklit Changelog Skill

Write a release note for bklitui.com/changelog: one markdown article plus one or more abstract, single-colour SVG covers. The finished entry should read like a short, confident product post (Linear's changelog is the bar), not a commit log.

Where things live

What Path
Entries (one .mdx per entry) apps/web/content/changelog/YYYY-MM-DD-<slug>.mdx
Cover art apps/web/public/changelog/YYYY-MM-DD-<slug>.svg
Cover generator .agents/skills/bklit-changelog/scripts/cover.mjs
Schema (frontmatter) apps/web/source.config.ts → changelog
Loader / sorting / search text apps/web/lib/changelog.ts
Feed, rail, article, image apps/web/components/changelog/
Routes apps/web/app/(site)/(home)/changelog/ — /changelog, /changelog/page/<n>, /changelog/<slug>, /changelog/rss.xml
SEO (metadata, JSON-LD) apps/web/lib/changelog-seo.ts
Open Graph cards apps/web/lib/changelog-og.tsx → /api/og/changelog/<slug>

The route slug is the file name without .mdx. Every entry gets its own permalink, sitemap entry, RSS item, BlogPosting JSON-LD and a dark Open Graph card (the cover recoloured light on the dark surface) automatically; nothing else needs registering. The feed shows 20 entries per page with Newer / Older links, and the address bar follows the entry being read.

Workflow

  1. Gather facts. For a weekly write-up, list everything merged: git log --since=<date> --oneline, then read each PR body. Give big features their own entry and collect the rest into one Fixes and improvements entry (grouped bullets: Charts / Installing / Docs and site). Read the merged PR(s) — git log --grep="(#NNN)", gh pr view NNN — and the docs page for every API you mention. Never invent props: grep apps/web/content/docs for each prop name you put in a code block.
  2. Pick the slug and date. YYYY-MM-DD-short-kebab-name, dated the day it merged. Several entries on one day? Add a UTC time to date (2026-10-22T18:00:00Z) — later times sort first.
  3. Make the cover (see Cover art below).
  4. Write the article (see Writing).
  5. Check it in pnpm dev at /changelog and /changelog/<slug>, in both light and dark themes and at phone width. Search for a word from the body to confirm it's indexed.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
