gopherstack: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/gopherstack-service-op/SKILL.md

gopherstack-service-op is a skill for Claude Code from BlackbirdWorks/gopherstack. It costs 104 tokens per session (2,719 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A step-by-step guide for adding a real AWS API operation to Gopherstack, an emulator for AWS services.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to implement or finish an AWS operation, connect its routing and persistence, return AWS-compatible errors and data, and verify its status before and after the change.
Why use it?
It prevents incomplete handlers and made-up AWS request or response details by following the repository's existing structure, SDK definitions, state handling, and tests.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00104 $0.02719
Opus 5.5 $0.00042 $0.01088
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00021 $0.00544
Haiku 4.5 $0.00010 $0.00272

Security

Grade A, and why

gopherstack-service-op scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Hard rule: shapes from the SDK, not memory

Before writing any wire struct, field name, error code, or timestamp format, run the gopherstack-sdk-shape skill for that op and read its output. Run scripts/dev/svcops.sh <svc> before and after to confirm the op's status. If missing on your branch, it's in PR #2493 / main after merge.

No-stub rule first

Never ship a stub: no-op handlers, &StubOutput{}, fabricated IDs, or an op that returns success without touching real state. Every routed operation must mutate/read real backend state, return AWS-accurate shapes and error codes, and persist when persistence is on. If an operation genuinely cannot be implemented (no real AWS data source can exist in an emulator), say so explicitly and record it as a structural gap in PARITY.md — never ship a half-working stub silently. This is the rule most likely to slip under time pressure; check your own diff against it before calling the op done.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
