deslop

deslop is a skill for Claude Code from blockmatic/basilic. It costs 29 tokens per session (241 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A cleanup tool that compares the current branch with the main branch and removes unnecessary AI-generated code introduced in the branch.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to inspect a branch diff and remove avoidable generated code or changes before integration.
Why use it?
It helps reduce clutter and keeps a code change focused before it is reviewed or merged.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00029 $0.00241
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00120
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00048
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00024

Security

Grade A, and why

deslop scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Purpose

Check diff against main and remove all AI generated code slop introduced in this branch.

Steps

  1. Check diff: Check diff against main to see what was introduced in this branch
  2. Identify slop: Identify AI-generated slop (extra comments that a human wouldn't add or is inconsistent with the rest of the file, extra defensive checks or try/catch blocks that are abnormal for that area of the codebase especially if called by trusted/validated codepaths, casts to any to get around type issues, any other style that is inconsistent with the file)
  3. Remove slop: Remove all identified AI-generated slop
  4. Report: First report completion evidence from completion.md (relevant rows and a status reason). Then a 1–3 sentence summary of changes

Completion

Lead with completion evidence, then the short summary.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
