java-docs

java-docs is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from boshi-xixixi/TraeSkill. It costs 21 tokens per session (317 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide to documenting Java code with Javadoc comments. Javadoc is Java's standard format for describing classes, methods, parameters, return values, and errors.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to add or review documentation for Java types and members, including generics and exceptions.
Why use it?
It makes public and complex Java code easier for other developers to understand and use correctly.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00021 $0.00317
Opus 5 $0.00010 $0.00159
Sonnet 5 $0.00004 $0.00063
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00032

Security

Grade A, and why

java-docs scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Java Documentation (Javadoc) Best Practices

  • Public and protected members should be documented with Javadoc comments.
  • It is encouraged to document package-private and private members as well, especially if they are complex or not self-explanatory.
  • The first sentence of the Javadoc comment is the summary description. It should be a concise overview of what the method does and end with a period.
  • Use @param for method parameters. The description starts with a lowercase letter and does not end with a period.
  • Use @return for method return values.
  • Use @throws or @exception to document exceptions thrown by methods.
  • Use @see for references to other types or members.
  • Use {@inheritDoc} to inherit documentation from base classes or interfaces.
    • Unless there is major behavior change, in which case you should document the differences.
  • Use @param <T> for type parameters in generic types or methods.
  • Use {@code} for inline code snippets.
  • Use <pre>{@code ... }</pre> for code blocks.
  • Use @since to indicate when the feature was introduced (e.g., version number).
  • Use @version to specify the version of the member.
  • Use @author to specify the author of the code.
  • Use @deprecated to mark a member as deprecated and provide an alternative.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
