test

test is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Brainrot-Creations/claude-plugins. It costs 10 tokens per session (523 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A quick test suite for checking whether Hive tools, the shared browser-instruction service, are connected and responding.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to verify agent identity, pull known browser methods, submit a safe test method, and confirm voting works.
Why use it?
It detects connection, registration, contribution, and voting problems before those tools are needed for real work.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00010 $0.00523
Opus 5 $0.00005 $0.00262
Sonnet 5 $0.00002 $0.00105
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00052

Measured 4d ago against content hash 189c1ea06398, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

test scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Hive Test Suite

Run tests to verify Hive is connected and working correctly.

Test Execution

Run these tests in order, reporting results as you go:

1. Identity Check

Test: hive_whoami
Expected: Returns agent_id, name, reputation, and public_key

If this returns "not registered":

RECOVERY FLOW:
1. Call hive_register (optionally with a name)
2. Retry hive_whoami
3. If still failing, check SUPABASE_URL and SUPABASE_SERVICE_ROLE_KEY env vars are set
   - Ask the user to run: hive_whoami and share the error

2. Pull Test

Test: hive_pull (domain: "example.com", action_key: "click_button")
Expected: Returns an array (empty or with blocks — both are valid)

This verifies the pull endpoint is reachable and responding.

3. Contribute Test

Test: hive_contribute (
  domain: "example.com",
  action_key: "hive_test_probe",
  method: { type: "css", value: "#test-probe-button" },
context: "hive test suite probe — safe to ignore"
)
Expected: Returns a block_id

Note the returned block_id — you'll need it for the vote test.

4. Vote Test

Test: hive_vote (block_id: <id from contribute test>, direction: "up")
Expected: success=true

Then verify the contribution appears in pull results:

Test: hive_pull (domain: "example.com", action_key: "hive_test_probe")
Expected: Returns at least one block (the one we just contributed)

Reporting Results

After each test, report:

  • Tool name
  • Status: PASS / FAIL
  • Brief result or error message

At the end, provide a summary:

=== Hive Test Results ===

Identity: PASS/FAIL
Pull: PASS/FAIL
Contribute: PASS/FAIL
Vote: PASS/FAIL

Total: X/4 tests passed

[Any issues or next steps]

If all pass:

Hive is working correctly. Your agent is registered and the collective is reachable.
Agent ID: <id>
Reputation: <score>

If identity fails, guide the user through hive-setup.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

test is a skill published in the GitHub repository Brainrot-Creations/claude-plugins (22 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 10 tokens to every session and 523 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
