Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00167 | $0.02097 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00067 | $0.00839 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00033 | $0.00419 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00017 | $0.00210 |
Grade A, and why
katashiro-web-task scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 122 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
katashiro-web-task
Katashiro's page tools (katashiro.*) act in the user's real Chrome, as the user, with whatever
they are logged into. This skill is the order of operations that gets a web task done in few calls
and without surprises. The tool descriptions have the details of each tool; this is how to combine
them.
Requirements
- The current chat is a Katashiro chat (its browser tunnel is attached). Not in Discord/Slack threads or cron turns.
- Write tools (click, type, fill_form, navigate, new_tab, switch_tab, close_tab, …) need act mode on. With act mode off you can still read, but only the active tab: switching tabs is a write.
1. See the page: snapshot first
- Which tab? If the user says "this page", the target is the active tab of their window. If
you need another tab,
katashiro.tabs, thenkatashiro.switch_tabbyurlsubstring (more stable thanindex, which shifts as tabs open and close).switch_tabonly reaches tabs in the side panel's window (your windowintabs); for a tab in another window,new_tabits URL. When your conversation is in the background (§5), the user's tab is out of reach: tell them, and ask them to switch back to this conversation. katashiro.snapshot— the accessibility tree with arefon each interactive element and asnapshotId. This is the primary way to see a page: cheap, and it gives you what to click. Scope it withselectorto re-check one region.- Text only?
katashiro.get_text(optionally scoped byselector) is cheaper than a snapshot. - "This", "what I selected" →
katashiro.get_selection. katashiro.screenshotonly for what text cannot tell: layout, images, charts, a canvas. It is expensive; never use it to read text or to confirm an action worked.read_domonly when you need literal markup of one element.
Action tools (click, type, navigate, fill_form, press_key, scroll, …) return the
updated snapshot. Do not call snapshot again right after them.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
