rook-release: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/execute-grasshopper/SKILL.md

execute-grasshopper is a skill for Claude Code from bringfire/rook-release. It costs 22 tokens per session (891 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A Grasshopper development assistant for building or changing Grasshopper definitions through Rook. Grasshopper is a visual programming tool commonly used with Rhino for 3D design.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to build or modify Grasshopper definitions.
Why use it?
It provides a way to request changes to Grasshopper definitions when working through Rook.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00022 $0.00891
Opus 5.5 $0.00009 $0.00356
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00004 $0.00178
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00089

Measured 26d ago against content hash 14fb8d40181a, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

execute-grasshopper scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 26d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Execute Grasshopper Work

Authorization

A direct build or edit request authorizes the bounded mutations needed to produce the requested result. Ask again only when the request is ambiguous, destructive, would change pre-existing content outside the admitted boundary, or would materially expand scope.

Execution owns mutation. It may consume a clear brief, an approved design, or an optional technical plan.

Admit the Live Target

Before mutation:

  1. Confirm the intended host and document identity.
  2. Capture a fresh gh_snapshot and take its fresh epoch for the immediate batch.
  3. Resolve every unfamiliar component identity with gh_library and every required port with gh_batch_component_info.
  4. When a needed admitted tool is hidden, use rook_tools_search, rook_tools_read, and rook_tools_call.
  5. Compare any optional structural baseline with the live document.
  6. Start an execution-owned ID ledger containing temporary IDs, committed IDs, authorized pre-existing IDs, and operation outcomes.

For Wasp work, apply ../design-grasshopper/references/wasp-admission.md. Failed admission stops before mutation with the missing component or port evidence reported.

If no admitted host, mutation tool, or required live component can be reached, stop without mutation. Preserve useful design or plan artifacts and report the unavailable boundary.

Admit Drift

Refresh volatile component identities and ports when their meaning is unchanged. Omit operations already satisfied by the live graph.

Stop for approval when drift changes semantics, topology, ownership, or preservation obligations. A missing or stale structural baseline is advisory only; re-admit the live state before acting.

Apply Bounded Batches

Use gh_edit for ordered batch mutation. It may return partial_success: earlier operations may commit before a later operation fails.

Route component authoring by capability:

  • create ordinary Grasshopper components through gh_edit;
  • create modern Python or C# script components through gh_create_script (or its language-specific alias); and
  • create Chirp components through chirp_create; and
  • correct existing script source or pins through gh_update_script and gh_set_script_pins.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

execute-grasshopper is a skill published in the GitHub repository bringfire/rook-release (6 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 22 tokens to every session and 891 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
