visualize

A browser-based display of the user's installed skills and their usage information, presented as a game-like character sheet. It can also show skills in a tree-style inventory.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to view a skill inventory, skill tree, profile information, categories, grades, and upgrade prompts in a browser.
Why use it?
It gives a quick visual overview of available skills instead of requiring the user to inspect each skill file separately. It can use evaluation data or create a basic inventory from installed skill descriptions.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00059 $0.00407
Opus 5 $0.00030 $0.00204
Sonnet 5 $0.00012 $0.00081
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00041

Measured 2d ago against content hash 6a3ae9718093, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

visualize scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Skill Visualize

Render the user's skill inventory as a gamified RPG-style character sheet in the browser.

Quick Reference

Step Action
1 Read eval data from ~/.claude/.skill-evaluator/skills/{YYYY-MM}.json
2 Scan installed skills (user/project/plugin scopes)
3 Build data JSON (profile + skills array)
4 Inject into template, write to /tmp/skill-up-viz.html, open browser

See reference.md in this directory for JSON schemas, grade tables, categories, and icon keys.

Workflow

  1. Read evaluation data: Current month file, fallback to previous months, or generate placeholder from installed SKILL.md files
  2. Scan skills for metadata (name, description, trigger) across all scopes
  3. Build data JSON: Calculate grades (usage-based SSS~F), level, job title (creative Korean title with emoji), assign categories and icon keys
  4. Render: Read visualize/template.html (relative to plugin dir), replace __SKILL_UP_DATA__, write to /tmp/skill-up-viz.html, run open

Upgrade Feature

Tooltip has "강화" button → copies /upgrade-skill {skill-name} to clipboard → toast notification. Upgraded skills (upgraded: true) show badge and disabled "강화 완료" button.

Response

Briefly summarize: total skills, data source month, top grade skills, generated job title.

Files

What ships with it

1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

visualize is a skill published in the GitHub repository BumgeunSong/skill-up (11 stars, last pushed 7mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 59 tokens to every session and 407 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
