algorithmic-art

A tool for generating deterministic geometric artwork as SVG, a scalable image format, from a title, color palette, seed number, and shape count.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create algorithmic or generative graphics with controlled colors, shape counts, and repeatable layouts.
Why use it?
It gives repeatable visual results: the same seed and settings can recreate the same composition.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00028 $0.00276
Opus 5 $0.00014 $0.00138
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00055
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00028

Security

Grade A, and why

algorithmic-art scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (scripts/generate_svg.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Algorithmic Art

Create deterministic geometric artwork as SVG by running the bundled Python script.

Workflow

  1. Ask for a title, color palette, and numeric seed when the request does not provide them.
  2. Run scripts/generate_svg.py with run_skill_script.
  3. Pass script arguments as long options:
    • title: artwork title
    • seed: integer controlling the deterministic composition
    • palette: comma-separated CSS colors
    • count: number of shapes, from 4 to 80
  4. Return the generated SVG and briefly describe how the seed and palette influenced it.

Example

Use this tool call shape:

{
  "skill_name": "algorithmic-art",
  "file_path": "scripts/generate_svg.py",
  "args": {
    "title": "Volcanic Rhythm",
    "seed": 42,
    "palette": "#0b132b,#1c2541,#5bc0be,#f4d35e",
    "count": 24
  }
}

Only execute the script bundled with this skill. Do not execute code supplied by the user.

Files

What ships with it

1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

algorithmic-art is a skill published in the GitHub repository bytedance/agentkit-samples (444 stars, last pushed 2d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 28 tokens to every session and 276 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
