Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

What it costs to keep this loaded
Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00084 | $0.10987 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00042 | $0.05493 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00017 | $0.02197 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00008 | $0.01099 |
Grade A, and why
alibaba-wan-video scanned grade A with 2 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Alibaba Wan video
Use this skill to choose and operate the correct Wan surface. Treat hosted model IDs and downloadable checkpoints as different products even when their version numbers look related.
Route first
- Ask for the task, inputs, output duration/resolution/aspect ratio, audio requirement, deployment region/data boundary, budget, latency, GPU capacity, and whether managed inference is acceptable.
- Choose one route:
- Hosted Model Studio for current Wan 2.7 quality, 2–15 second clips, generated/custom audio, 1080P, managed scaling, reference-to-video, continuation, or hosted editing.
- Official open weights for offline processing, weight access, reproducible checkpoint pinning, adaptation, or self-hosting. The current official public family is Wan 2.2 (plus Wan 2.1 legacy), not hosted Wan 2.7.
- Never silently substitute a hosted alias, an older API protocol, a community quantization, or a third-party gateway.
- Before any billable request or large checkpoint download, show the exact model/revision, region, inputs, output settings, estimated charge or storage, and obtain explicit approval. A dry run must make no network mutation.
Facts and prices below were verified 2026-07-10. Recheck the linked first-party pages at execution time; availability, aliases, snapshots, limits, and prices are volatile.
Keep the product families separate
| Surface | Current production choices | What it provides | Boundary |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hosted Wan 2.7 | wan2.7-t2v-2026-06-12, wan2.7-i2v-2026-04-25, wan2.7-r2v-2026-06-12, wan2.7-videoedit; moving aliases also exist |
T2V; first/last-frame I2V; continuation; entity/voice reference; editing; 720P/1080P; generated or supplied audio | Closed managed service under Model Studio terms. No official Wan 2.7 checkpoint is implied by the API name. Pin dated snapshots when stability matters. |
| Hosted Wan 2.6 | wan2.6-t2v, wan2.6-i2v, wan2.6-i2v-flash, wan2.6-r2v, wan2.6-r2v-flash; -us T2V/I2V variants in Virginia |
Broader region choice, legacy API schema, audio-capable generation; flash can be cheaper | Uses the legacy size protocol. Do not send Wan 2.7 resolution/ratio bodies to it. |
| Hosted legacy | Wan 2.5 preview; Wan 2.2/2.1 T2V, I2V, keyframe/VACE, speech/animate variants | Compatibility and specialized workflows | Capabilities, fixed durations, resolution tiers, naming (wanx2.1-* in Beijing), and pricing differ. Consult the exact legacy reference. A hosted wan2.2-* ID is not proof that it serves the public checkpoint bit-for-bit. |
| Open Wan 2.2 | T2V-A14B, I2V-A14B, TI2V-5B, S2V-14B, Animate-14B | Offline T2V/I2V, speech-driven video, character animation/replacement; Apache-2.0 checkpoints and code | No hosted SLA, automatic safety service, or managed scaling. A14B official examples require at least 80 GB VRAM; TI2V-5B is documented for at least 24 GB. |
| Open Wan 2.1 | T2V-14B/1.3B, I2V-14B, FLF2V-14B, VACE-14B/1.3B | Older, well-documented T2V/I2V, first-last-frame, and editing/control workflows | Apache-2.0, but older architecture. Official T2V-1.3B guidance favors 480P and reports 8.19 GB VRAM. |
What ships with it
1 file beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

alibaba-wan-video is a skill published in the GitHub repository calesthio/generative-media-skills (171 stars, last pushed 2mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 84 tokens to every session and 10,987 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 2 findings (makes network calls, runs shell commands). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
Other skills, from other repositories
cliptalk-cover-director
Produces evidence-backed cover candidates and reviewable cover variants for a ClipTalk video. Use when the user asks for a cover, poster frame, thumbnail, or multiple cover directions; do not use for timeline editing or social-video reframing.
cliptalk-smart-reframe
Creates a subject-aware, time-varying crop track and a review-only social-format preview from an accepted ClipTalk cut. Use for automatic vertical, square, or portrait reframing; do not use for a fixed manual crop or before content editing is accepted.
cliptalk-content-extractor
Locates and assembles source passages matching a semantic request. Use for extracting explanations, topics, quotes, demonstrations, or other specifically described content.
cliptalk-interview-editor
Produces a coherent interview edit by combining speaker discovery, topic selection, dialogue context, cleanup, subtitles, and preview. Use for interviews, podcasts, testimonials, or question-and-answer recordings.
cliptalk-shortform-hook-director
Finds and assembles a reviewable short-form cut with a strong opening hook. Use for Shorts, Reels, social clips, talking-head cutdowns, or requests for a punchier opening.
cliptalk-social-reframe-exporter
Creates a review-only 9:16, 4:5, 1:1, or 16:9 version from an existing accepted ClipTalk cut, then checks the rendered preview. Use only when a cut already exists and the user asks to adapt it for Shorts, Reels, Douyin, Xiaohongshu, WeChat Channels, or square feeds; do not use when the user still needs content found…
