Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00063 | $0.01649 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00025 | $0.00660 |

Grade A, and why
stelow-product-scope-mapping scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 14d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 167 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Scope Mapping
Use this skill to turn an approved product proposal, technical plan, or codebase context into a small set of coherent delivery scopes.
The method is product planning: it discovers the boundaries of the work and makes uncertainty visible. It does not create execution tasks, choose a runner, or silently change an approved Shape.
Required input
Use the available proposal, spec, codebase context, and constraints. If the request is not approved for Scope, stop at the current lifecycle boundary and name the missing gate.
Record the input sources before generating scopes. Do not invent product authority, evidence, or approval.
Brownfield input (codebase exists)
Ground scopes in the code before drawing boundaries:
cymbal structure --json— entry points and packages the map must respect;sem entities --json— domain symbols that anchor IN/OUT items;ripwire --exemplar "<outcome>"(or--lego <Iface>for a known interface) — reuse-first: imitate the existing block instead of inventing a parallel one.
Record these sources alongside the proposal before generating scopes.
Method
- Restate the decision the map must support.
- Identify the user-visible or operational outcome of the work.
- Split the outcome into vertical scopes that can each deliver a coherent result.
- Give every scope a stable ID, outcome, IN items, OUT items, capabilities, and dependencies.
- Mark open decisions and evidence gaps explicitly.
- Check that the graph is acyclic and that no scope silently owns another scope's boundary.
- If a narrow bugfix or mechanical refactor needs no full map, emit a one-scope plan and record why the full map is unnecessary.
Preview mode (draft for the product gate)
Run with mode: preview when the decision-maker needs to SEE the division
before approving anything — typically ahead of the product gate review:
- Single pass, no parallel scouts, no approval. Read the shaped proposal (approved or not) and emit tentative names, outcomes, and dependencies only. Capabilities and evidence stay explicitly marked as unharvested.
- Write
scope-map-draft.json(same contract as the map, status: "draft") plus a readable draft companion (scope names + one-line outcomes + counts, never the full evidence tables). - A draft from an unapproved spec is explicitly allowed here and ONLY here: it illustrates the division, it commits to nothing, and it must never be promoted without re-validation once the spec is approved.
- The gate review renders the draft read-only in a draft tone. Nobody edits the draft at the gate; feedback lands as review annotations, which the scope stage reconciles.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

stelow-product-scope-mapping is a skill published in the GitHub repository calionauta/stelow (14 stars, last pushed 9d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 63 tokens to every session and 1,649 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-26.
