stelow-workflow-plan-critique

stelow-workflow-plan-critique is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from calionauta/stelow. It costs 81 tokens per session (3,994 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A checklist-based review of a product plan before developers build it. It examines user flows, states, data, system behavior, and interface details, then turns problems into questions that need answers.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review a product specification, find gaps in normal and error flows, check validation and API expectations, and produce actionable questions.
Why use it?
It helps expose unclear requirements, missing cases, risks, and undefined decisions early, when they are easier to fix.

Skill for Claude CodeCodex

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one. Also seen: mentions subagents; positional $N argument.

Needs its repository: it reads a path above its own folder, which exists only inside the repository. The line is **Tools:** See `../stelow-workflow-orchestrator/references/cli-tools/subagents.md` for subagent patterns..

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00081 $0.03994
Opus 5 $0.00041 $0.01997
Sonnet 5 $0.00016 $0.00799
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00399

Security

Grade A, and why

stelow-workflow-plan-critique scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Plan Critique

Focus: Critically analyze a product plan (spec-product.md) to find ambiguities, gaps, risks, and missing definitions before implementation. Input: spec-product.md (single file). Output: Classified gap report (🚨/🤔/🔎) with actionable questions.

Tools: See ../stelow-workflow-orchestrator/references/cli-tools/subagents.md for subagent patterns.

Overview

Systematic gap analysis for product plans — finds ambiguities, risks, and missing definitions before implementation. Every finding becomes a specific, actionable question.

Checklists

This skill runs 7 specialized checklists against product plans:

Checklist What it evaluates
🌀 Flows Main flow, alternative, error, rollback, synchronization
🎯 States Data states (empty, loading, partial, error, boundary, edge) + interaction states (idle, hover, active, focus, disabled, loading, empty, error, overflow)
👆 Affordances + Design Quality Hover/focus/disabled states, touch targets, keyboard nav; anti-pattern audit (10 design smells)
📊 Data Validation, defaults, null handling, persistence
🔧 System API contracts, timeouts, retry, fallback, offline
📐 Compositional Quality Work-pattern alignment, purpose-layout match, density strategy
⚖️ Feasibility Architecture, stack, security, effort estimation, scope fit (appetite_fit)

Golden rule: Every gap becomes a specific, actionable question — never a vague criticism. The goal is to unblock the implementation team, not delay them.

Mode caveat: In Auto/Product Spec Gate modes, gaps become internal recommendations in the report (no user questions). The "question" is posed to the spec, not the user. In Product Spec + Interface Gates and above, top-N gaps are pushed as actual user questions.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
