partline-part-sourcing

partline-part-sourcing is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from CALLE-AI/awesome-phone-call-agents. It costs 32 tokens per session (567 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A phone-based sourcing workflow for finding an exact industrial replacement part from approved suppliers. It returns an evidence-backed comparison for a person to review before purchasing.

In plain words
What is it for?
It checks part identity, stock, shipping cutoff, lead time, and explicitly confirmed alternatives from one to five supplied suppliers.
Why use it?
It gathers current supplier information without guessing missing specifications or contacting unapproved numbers. Purchase approval remains with a human.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00032 $0.00567
Opus 5 $0.00016 $0.00283
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00113
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00057

Security

Grade A, and why

partline-part-sourcing scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 65 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

PartLine

Use this skill when a maintenance or procurement user needs current supplier facts that are best confirmed by phone: exact part identity, on-hand quantity, shipping cutoff, lead time and explicitly confirmed alternatives.

Required inputs

Collect all of the following before creating a preview:

  • requester and facility
  • sourcing request ID
  • exact manufacturer and part number
  • quantity and need-by timestamp
  • non-negotiable physical or electrical specifications
  • whether alternatives may be discussed
  • one to five supplier phone numbers in E.164 format
  • region, locale and a purpose-bound authorization reference for every contact
  • the suppliers' local timezone and weekday calling window

Do not infer missing specifications. Do not search for personal phone numbers. Use business contacts provided or approved by the user.

Workflow

  1. Write the request to a JSON file matching assets/example-request.json.
  2. Run partline preview REQUEST.json.
  3. Show the masked recipients, call count, exact task, purchase boundary and approval token.
  4. Pause for explicit user approval. A request to preview is not approval to call.
  5. Only after explicit approval, run the exact command printed by preview.
  6. Poll the returned call ID. Never create a second task because polling timed out.
  7. Rank exact matches before compatible matches. Mark unknown, contradictory or unsupported results for human follow-up.
  8. Present evidence and caveats. Never purchase, reserve, negotiate or accept supplier terms.

Safety rules

  • Preview by default.
  • Never pass --live without explicit approval in the current conversation.
  • Never call outside the configured weekday call window.
  • Never include another supplier's name, quote or inventory in a call.
  • Never claim compatibility unless the supplier confirms every required specification.
  • Treat a proposed alternate as requiring engineering approval.
  • Do not persist raw transcripts unless the user provides a retention purpose and location.
  • A CALL-E result supplies research evidence, not purchasing authority.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
