ios-platform

ios-platform is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from CarolaneLFBV/ios-development-agents. It costs 26 tokens per session (302 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An iOS platform integration guide for system-managed features such as background work, notifications, incoming links, widgets, extensions, and App Intents. These features let an app respond to operating-system events or provide actions outside its main screen.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to add or fix app lifecycle handling, background tasks, notification routing, deep links, widgets, extensions, and App Intents.
Why use it?
It helps handle limited execution time, permissions, event delivery, cancellation, and separate extension processes without assuming the system will run code at a fixed time.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00026 $0.00302
Opus 5.5 $0.00010 $0.00121
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00005 $0.00060
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00030

Security

Grade A, and why

ios-platform scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

iOS platform integrations

Inspect app/scene entry points, extension targets, supported OS versions and capabilities. Choose the supported system API for the actual execution requirement; verify availability in the installed SDK or current Apple documentation.

Own event delivery, lifecycle, expiration and app-extension boundaries. Keep UI layout, data conflict policy, trust decisions and signing with their existing roles. Work directly without recursive delegation.

Read only the reference relevant to the requested integration:

Treat system delivery and timing as conditional. Keep handlers bounded, idempotent and cancellation-aware. Do not promise exact background intervals, bypass extension limits, or substitute a foreground Task for an OS-managed background contract.

Validate relevant lifecycle transitions on the available simulator/device and differentiate simulated events from real APNs, suspension, reboot or cross-process behavior. Return changes, observed outcomes and unrun device/account checks.

Files

What ships with it

3 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

ios-platform is a skill published in the GitHub repository CarolaneLFBV/ios-development-agents (7 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 26 tokens to every session and 302 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-17.
