catalyst-zoho-mcp

catalyst-zoho-mcp is a skill for Claude Code from catalystbyzoho/agent-skills. It costs 107 tokens per session (917 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A conversational way to manage Zoho Catalyst infrastructure through MCP, a connection that lets an agent use external tools. Catalyst provides services such as tables, file buckets, and cache.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to check the MCP connection and prepare or manage Catalyst tables, buckets, and cache with natural-language requests.
Why use it?
It prevents work from continuing when the required Catalyst connection is missing and guides the user through choosing a connection setup.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00107 $0.00917
Opus 5 $0.00053 $0.00458
Sonnet 5 $0.00021 $0.00183
Haiku 4.5 $0.00011 $0.00092

Security

Grade A, and why

catalyst-zoho-mcp scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 46 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

How It Works

  1. Check if MCP is connected — Look for CatalystbyZoho_* tools in your tool list.

  2. ⛔ MCP NOT connected — HARD STOP. Do NOT write any code, create any files, or call any SDK. Ask the user which setup path they prefer, then load references/zoho-mcp.md and follow only that path. Do not proceed to step 3 until the user confirms CatalystbyZoho_* tools are visible in their client.

To work with Catalyst via MCP, choose your setup path:

Option A — Global MCP Server (recommended)

Add your DC-specific URL to your AI client config, authorize once via browser, done. No console needed. US: https://catalyst.zohomcp.com/mcp/message, EU: https://catalyst.zohomcp.eu/mcp/message, IN: https://catalyst.zohomcp.in/mcp/message, AU: https://catalyst.zohomcp.com.au/mcp/message, CA: https://catalyst.zohomcp.ca/mcp/message, SA: https://catalyst.zohomcp.sa/mcp/message, JP: https://catalyst.zohomcp.jp/mcp/message, UAE: https://catalyst.zohomcp.ae/mcp/message.

Option B — Personal MCP Server (custom/team setup) Create your own server at mcp.zoho.com, select tools, get a personal URL with a token embedded.

Which would you prefer?

  1. Pre-flight sequence — In order:
    • Confirm DC first. Wrong DC = empty org list. Use /catalyst-by-zoho:switch-dc to switch data centers if CatalystbyZoho_List_All_Organizations returns empty or the wrong org.
    • Run CatalystbyZoho_List_All_OrganizationsCatalystbyZoho_List_All_Projects to set project context before any other MCP tool call.
  2. Load references/zoho-mcp.md — for the full tool catalog, execution flow, and common error fixes.
  3. If the query involves DataStore (create table, add columns, query data) — also load references/mcp-datastore.md.
  4. Answer — Call the appropriate CatalystbyZoho_* tool directly. Show the user what tool was called and what it returned.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
