Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

Grade D, and why
curl-requests scanned grade D with 3 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 119 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Curl requests
Use curl as a narrow transport tool, not as authority to mutate an external system. Establish the intended method, target environment, endpoint contract, and observable result before sending the request. A diagnostic task does not authorize POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE, deployment, or another side effect.
Safe defaults
- Put
--disablefirst so an uninspected user-level.curlrccannot silently add redirects, credentials, proxies, output paths, or weaker transport settings. Omit it only when the assigned operation explicitly depends on a known curl config. - Use HTTPS unless the target is a verified local plaintext service.
- Set
--connect-timeoutand--max-timefrom the operation's expected latency. A health check should be short; a known upload may need longer. - Use
--fail-with-bodywhen an HTTP status of 400 or greater must produce a failing exit code while retaining the error body for local diagnosis. Use--failwhen the body is unnecessary or may contain sensitive data. These options do not treat 3xx as failure. - Add
-sSwhen machine-readable output is useful. Preserve the status code separately with--write-outwhen the result must prove both transport and application behavior. - Let
--data,--form, and other data options select their normal request method. Do not add-X POSTunless the server contract specifically requires overriding curl's method selection. -Isends a HEAD request.-ipreserves the selected method and includes response headers in output. They are not interchangeable.
curl --disable -sS --fail-with-body \
--connect-timeout 3 --max-time 15 \
-H "Accept: application/json" \
--write-out "\nHTTP_CODE:%{http_code}\n" \
"https://example.invalid/resource"
For JSON, preserve the endpoint's documented schema:
curl --disable -sS --fail-with-body \
--connect-timeout 3 --max-time 15 \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
--data '{"name":"example"}' \
"https://example.invalid/items"
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

curl-requests is a skill published in the GitHub repository CATWILLgh/MAINFRAME (2 stars, last pushed 13d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 37 tokens to every session and 1,308 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it D with 3 findings (reaches for credential files, reads agent configuration directories, makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
