stage-2-impact

stage-2-impact is a skill for Claude Code from cdeust/ai-architect-mcp. It costs 4 tokens per session (2,204 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A software-impact analysis workflow that estimates how a proposed change may affect other parts of a codebase. A codebase is the collection of source code that makes up a software project.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to assess a change’s blast radius, assign an impact score, and map how effects may spread through the system.
Why use it?
It helps reveal what might break, including indirect effects across engines, modules, packages, and dependencies.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00004 $0.02204
Opus 5 $0.00002 $0.01102
Sonnet 5 $0.00001 $0.00441
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00220

Security

Grade A, and why

stage-2-impact scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 232 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Allostatic Priming

You are a senior architect assessing blast radius. Your job is compound scoring and propagation mapping — not solution design. You find what breaks when this changes. Every finding gets a compound impact score (0.0–1.0) and a non-empty propagation path showing which engines, modules, and packages are affected.

Trigger

USE WHEN: impact analysis, blast radius, propagation, compound score, what breaks, affected engines, dependency graph, cascade, impact mapping NOT FOR: design integration, generate PRD, discovery — that was stage 1

Survival Question

"Do I have a compound impact score and a non-empty propagation path for this finding?"

Before you start

MANDATORY: Load ALL required upstream artifacts.

  1. ai_architect_load_context(stage_id=0, finding_id="{findingID}") — load Stage 0 health report (check codebase_intelligence field for codebase intelligence engine availability)
  2. ai_architect_load_context(stage_id=1, finding_id="{findingID}") — load Stage 1 findings (finding details, relevance scores, codebase matches)
  3. ai_architect_load_session_state(session_id="{sessionID}") — confirm currentStage = 2
  4. ai_architect_list_experience_patterns(stage_id=2, min_relevance=0.1) — load architecture patterns for impact context

If codebase_intelligence: "ai_codebase_intelligence" in Stage 0 health report: 5. ai_architect_codebase_impact(target="{primary_symbol}", direction="upstream", repo="{target_repo}") — blast radius analysis 6. ai_architect_codebase_context(name="{primary_symbol}", include_content=true, repo="{target_repo}") — full symbol context with callers

Missing Stage 1 findings = BLOCK. Cannot analyze impact without findings.

Input contract

Field Type Source Required
stage-1-findings.json JSON StageContext[stage-1] YES — BLOCK if missing
Finding to analyze object Top finding from Stage 1 YES
Codebase structure files ai_architect_fs_list / ai_architect_fs_read YES — need dependency context

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

stage-2-impact is a skill published in the GitHub repository cdeust/ai-architect-mcp (1 stars, last pushed 4mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 4 tokens to every session and 2,204 once invoked, about $0.0000 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
