Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00096 | $0.01251 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00038 | $0.00500 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00019 | $0.00250 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00010 | $0.00125 |
Grade A, and why
setup scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 49 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Setup
The same setup a terminal user gets from ./setup.sh, driven from the chat, for people who opened this folder in the Claude desktop app or VS Code. The script creates vault/, memory/ and config/user.config.yaml from the shipped seeds and writes the answers into them. It never overwrites a file that already exists.
Steps
-
Check whether setup already ran, the same way
setup.shdoes. Look atvault/,memory/andconfig/user.config.yaml, and Grep all three for{{ASSISTANT_NAME}},{{USER_NAME}},{{USER_ROLE}},{{PRIMARY_LANGUAGE}}and_YOUR_NAME_HERE_.- Any of the three missing: a first setup. Go to step 2.
- All three exist and one of the four
{{...}}tokens is left: an earlier run stopped early. Say so in one line, then go to step 2 (the script fills only the blanks it finds). - Only
_YOUR_NAME_HERE_is left: ask only for the user's name, then run step 4 with just--user '<name>' --non-interactive. - None left: stop here. Say: "Setup already ran. I am <the assistant name in
config/user.config.yaml>. To change your name, role or language, or what I know about your work, just tell me what to change and I will editconfig/user.config.yamlandmemory/for you." Do not run the script.
-
Ask about the user in one short message, numbered, defaults in brackets. They may answer "defaults" for any of them:
- What should I be called? [Aide]
- Your name? (no default; it goes into my memory)
- Your role or job title? [Knowledge Worker]
- Your main working language? [English]
- In a sentence or two, what do you work on? (may be left blank)
-
Ask the kind of work with AskUserQuestion, one call with two single-select questions (the tool allows four options per question):
- "Which describes your work best?": generalist (knowledge work broadly, the neutral default), consultant (client-facing delivery, proposals, stakeholder work), engineer (shipping software and owning technical decisions), "None of these, see the next question".
- "Or one of these?": sales (pipeline, deals, accounts, quota), founder (running a business: strategy, fundraising, hiring, product), researcher (academia and R&D: literature, papers, experiments), "I already picked one above". If both or neither name a preset, use generalist and say so.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

setup is a skill published in the GitHub repository chacosoldier/compabob (34 stars, last pushed 5d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 96 tokens to every session and 1,251 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-24.
Other skills, from other repositories
daily-briefing
Proactive daily briefing that fires on a recurring schedule, pulls recent memory and workspace context, composes a structured summary (action items, progress, radar, next steps), and delivers it to all active channels. Enable with a time like "set up my daily briefing at 9am". Disable, reschedule, or check status at…
identity-snapshot
Generate a living profile of the user's working patterns, decision tendencies and quality preferences from their Dex data. Use when the user says 'what are my patterns', 'how do I work', or during week-review. Also use proactively when the model (older than 7 days) is stale. Not for planning a week; use week-plan.
nav-compact
Clear conversation context while preserving knowledge via context marker. Use when user says "clear context", "start fresh", "done with this task", or when approaching token limits.
capture
Captures ideas, notes, links, and thoughts quickly. Use when the user says 'note', 'idea', 'capture', 'save this', 'remember', or wants to save something for later.
handoff
Generate a HANDOFF.md that captures goal, current state, files touched, failed attempts, and next steps — so a fresh Claude session can continue exactly where this one left off. Use when sessions are getting long, Claude keeps retrying the same broken solution, or the user wants to step away and resume later.
ha-data-stores
Map of Hope Agent's local data stores and safe read-only query workflow. Use when the user asks where Hope Agent stores data, wants to inspect sessions/messages/memory/logs/background jobs/knowledge indexes/settings, asks the model to query local app data, or debugging requires checking persisted state. Trigger…
