ChatCut is an AI video editor that lets coding agents edit footage, add captions, remove silences, generate media, and export editable timelines. It is used by people who want agents such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor to perform video-editing work, and the catalogue entries connect those agents to ChatCut.
Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00095 | $0.01590 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00038 | $0.00636 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00019 | $0.00318 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00010 | $0.00159 |
Grade A, and why
lipsync scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 104 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Lipsync
Scope and input roles
submit_lipsync takes an existing project video and the final speech audio whose
words should be heard in the output. It changes mouth motion to match that audio.
It does not translate words, create a voice or derive a new performance from a photo.
For a new presenter performance from a likeness, use digital-human.
For any translation request, first load video-translation. It owns the route
choice and may call this skill with independently prepared final audio. Do not
restart translation or voice selection here.
If the user supplies final audio, reuse it directly. For a wholly new script,
use voice to generate final speech, then obtain approval of that actual audio and
its measured duration before paid rendering, as described below. A cloning sample
is not final dialogue. If no mouth synchronization is requested, use dialogue
replacement instead of this tool. Integrated HeyGen translation includes its own mouth
synchronization; do not lip-sync its output a second time by default.
When a generation tool returns FEATURE_NOT_INCLUDED for a generation.* feature, use its payer and access details. If the project owner needs Pro, explain that the owner pays and must upgrade; the member's own Pro does not unlock the project. Do not give the member a personal upgrade link or send them to their own billing menu. They can find the owner in the project's existing members view when available. Otherwise share the returned upgrade link, or ChatCut’s avatar menu → Upgrade. Existing credits are preserved and generation still consumes credits after upgrading. This rejection does not charge for generation; existing agent conversation fees are separate, so do not claim the whole conversation was free. Preserve the exact original tool input and project, then stop. Do not automatically search for or substitute stock media; offer alternatives only if the user explicitly asks.
When the user returns with “continue”, “继续”, “jixu”, or says they upgraded, recheck current payer eligibility and credits for the original input with estimate_generation when supported, otherwise the original tool’s precheck. If there is no separate precheck, one retry of the original tool lets its server check current access. If eligible, submit the original input once; if still blocked, explain the current blocker and stop. Do not ask the user to choose between the original generation and stock media again or state the old rejection as current status without checking. If a job was already accepted, track it instead of submitting again. Never switch generation tools, providers or services to bypass a gate.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

lipsync is a skill published in the GitHub repository ChatCut-Inc/agent-plugin (1,015 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 95 tokens to every session and 1,590 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-20.
