solana

A tool for reading data from the Solana blockchain, a public network used for cryptocurrency and digital assets, and adding current US-dollar prices.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to check wallet balances and portfolios, inspect transactions, find NFTs and large transfers, and view network statistics or token prices.
Why use it?
It avoids manually combining blockchain records with market-price data when investigating wallets, tokens, or transactions.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00047 $0.01830
Opus 5 $0.00023 $0.00915
Sonnet 5 $0.00009 $0.00366
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00183

Security

Grade A, and why

solana scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (scripts/solana_client.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Solana Blockchain Skill

Query Solana on-chain data enriched with USD pricing via CoinGecko. 8 commands: wallet portfolio, token info, transactions, activity, NFTs, whale detection, network stats, and price lookup.

No API key needed. Uses only Python standard library (urllib, json, argparse).

When to Use

  • User asks for a Solana wallet balance, token holdings, or portfolio value
  • User wants to inspect a specific transaction by signature
  • User wants SPL token metadata, price, supply, or top holders
  • User wants recent transaction history for an address
  • User wants NFTs owned by a wallet
  • User wants to find large SOL transfers (whale detection)
  • User wants Solana network health, TPS, epoch, or SOL price
  • User asks "what's the price of BONK/JUP/SOL?"

Prerequisites

The helper script uses only Python standard library (urllib, json, argparse). No external packages required.

Pricing data comes from CoinGecko's free API (no key needed, rate-limited to ~10-30 requests/minute). For faster lookups, use --no-prices flag.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

solana is a skill published in the GitHub repository chemany/Mente (11 stars, last pushed 3mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 47 tokens to every session and 1,830 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). It is 89% identical to solana, differing in 49 lines, and is treated as a copy.
