humanizer

humanizer is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from CHENyiru3/AI-Skills-Collections. It costs 97 tokens per session (1,103 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A writing cleanup guide for making text sound more natural while preserving its meaning and intended voice.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to revise text that sounds AI-generated, stiff, corporate, or unlike the person who wrote it.
Why use it?
It removes robotic wording, repetitive patterns, and generic phrasing without treating every piece of writing as needing a rewrite.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00097 $0.01103
Opus 5.5 $0.00039 $0.00441
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00019 $0.00221
Haiku 4.5 $0.00010 $0.00110

Security

Grade A, and why

humanizer scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Humanizer

Make prose sound written by a person without changing what it means.

Use this skill for cleanup, not for every writing task. The goal is to remove high-signal AI patterns, restore natural rhythm, and preserve the right voice for the genre.

When to use this skill

Use humanizer when the user:

  • asks to humanize, naturalize, de-AI, or de-corporatize text
  • says the writing sounds robotic, stiff, bland, generic, or unlike them
  • wants a cleanup pass after drafting
  • pastes prose full of obvious AI tells, inflated tone, or repetitive structure

You may also use it without explicit request when the text is clearly:

  • overstuffed with AI vocabulary or corporate phrasing
  • rhythmically flat
  • padded with fake significance, vague authority, or formulaic transitions

When not to use this skill

Do not treat this as the default for all prose generation.

Do not use it to:

  • inject personality into formal or citation-bound writing by default
  • make accurate technical or legal text less precise
  • replace academic-writing-editor for manuscript structure or argument flow
  • introduce slang, humor, or first-person voice unless the genre supports it

Workflow

1. Identify the mode

Choose one:

  • Academic mode: manuscript, abstract, methods, results, discussion, literature review, reviewer response, technical note, grant prose
  • General prose mode: email, blog post, memo, essay, marketing copy, social post, proposal, documentation, cover letter

If this is academic writing, use academic-writing-editor first for structure and claim discipline, then use humanizer as the final cleanup pass.

2. Diagnose before rewriting

Determine which failure mode dominates:

  • Vocabulary tells: AI words, hedges, corporate jargon, fake intensity
  • Structure tells: repetitive sentence shape, participial trailers, rigid paragraph logic, lists of three everywhere
  • Voice tells: neutralized tone, generic enthusiasm, no point of view, inappropriate smoothness

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

humanizer is a skill published in the GitHub repository CHENyiru3/AI-Skills-Collections (1 stars, last pushed 7d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 97 tokens to every session and 1,103 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-02.
