Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00115 | $0.00640 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00046 | $0.00256 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00023 | $0.00128 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00012 | $0.00064 |
Grade A, and why
session-handoff-msg scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 17d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
What it actually says
session-handoff-msg
Two messages to the ingestion session on 2026-10-17 went out wrong in the same exchange:
- The episode list was the literal text
BATCH2_IDS; the ids were never filled in. - It said "I am holding it until you answer" while the chain script would still have approved the gate. The hold became real only afterwards.
A peer acts on what the message says. A wrong state claim to a peer is the same failure as one to the operator (truthfulness rules 0.0 and 0.2), and placeholders are how drafts leak out.
Run
Write the message to a file, then:
L=~/.claude/skills/session-handoff-msg/scripts/lint_msg.py
python3 $L /tmp/msg.txt \
--proof "holding=python3 ~/.claude/skills/prod-batch-chain/scripts/batch_chain.py podcast-2332 status | grep -q 'HOLD: yes'" \
--proof "approved=gh api repos/OWNER/REPO/actions/runs/RUN/approvals -q '.[].state' | grep -qx approved" \
--allow PROD_SSH_HOST_KEY --not-a-claim done
SENDABLE(exit 0): send the printed text with SendMessage, unchanged.REFUSED(exit 1): fix each line it lists. Do not send a "correction" afterwards instead.--proof WORD='cmd': one per state word in the message. The command must exit 0 now. Prove it from the system itself (gh,ssh, a ledger), not from your own earlier message.--allow TOKEN: a real ALL_CAPS name. Prefer putting it in backticks, which needs no flag.--not-a-claim WORD: the word is used descriptively ("when it is done, …").
Tests
cd scripts && python3 -m unittest test_lint_msg replays both 2026-10-17 messages; both are refused.
Not covered
- It cannot tell whether the content is right (the right ids, the right run). It only catches the two shapes that went wrong: unfilled placeholders and unproven state.
- A state stated without one of the listed words ("nothing will start") passes. Add the word to
STATE_WORDSwhen one slips through.
What ships with it
2 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

session-handoff-msg is a skill published in the GitHub repository chipi/agentic-ai-homelab (3 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 115 tokens to every session and 640 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-18.
