A set of procedures for working with PDF files, a document format designed to preserve page layout across devices. It covers extracting text, creating PDFs, and combining multiple PDFs.

Use it to read PDF text, create a PDF from Markdown or code, merge documents, and apply OCR when a scanned PDF has no usable text layer.

It provides a defined way to handle common PDF tasks and suggests different approaches for text-based and scanned documents.
