What is expectations?

Guidance for recording discoveries, practical warnings, and decisions in a lasting place while project context is still fresh. It helps decide whether knowledge belongs in code, tests, a glossary, an architecture decision record, plans, or repository guidance.

Use it after learning a technical fact, making a design decision, finding a recurring gotcha, or deciding where reusable or project-specific guidance should live.

Important project knowledge can be lost in conversations or in a developer’s memory. Recording it in the right place makes it available when the same issue comes up again.
