video-generation

video-generation is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Cloudgeni-ai/opengeni. It costs 31 tokens per session (259 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A video-generation workflow for creating a new clip, animation, or transformation from an image or video. It selects the right kind of source material and handles the generated file as an asynchronous job.

In plain words
What is it for?
Create a new scene, animate a specific opening image, guide a result with an image, or transform and continue an existing video.
Why use it?
It removes guesswork about whether to use text, an image, or an existing video as the starting point. It also avoids duplicate paid requests and unverified file paths.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00031 $0.00259
Opus 5.5 $0.00012 $0.00104
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00006 $0.00052
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00026

Security

Grade A, and why

video-generation scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Video generation

Use get_video_generation_capabilities when model or source support matters. Then call generate_video once for each intentionally distinct output.

  • Use text for a new scene without reference media.
  • Use first_frame to animate one exact opening frame.
  • Use first_and_last_frames only when both ordered endpoint frames matter.
  • Use image_reference for semantic/style/character guidance rather than an exact opening frame.
  • Use video_reference to transform or continue the visual language of one existing video.
  • Pass exact absolute /workspace/... paths. Never invent a path or pass a URL.
  • Choose an explicit model only when capability discovery shows it is available; otherwise allow the workspace default.
  • Treat an accepted result as asynchronous durable work. Continue other useful work instead of polling or calling again.
  • A later platform update provides the terminal result and retained sandbox path. Never retry automatically after failure or uncertainty; a retry is another paid generation.
  • Do not promise that a file exists in the sandbox until the terminal result supplies its verified path.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

video-generation is a skill published in the GitHub repository Cloudgeni-ai/opengeni (205 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 31 tokens to every session and 259 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-21.
