Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00152 $0.12141
Opus 5 $0.00076 $0.06071
Sonnet 5 $0.00030 $0.02428
Haiku 4.5 $0.00015 $0.01214

Security

Grade C, and why

portfolio-scan scanned grade C with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Recursive force deletehighDestructive command

rm -rf with a variable or a broad path is one typo away from removing the wrong tree.

Portfolio Scan

Core Concept

Plugin root resolution. Bash invocations below resolve the plugin root inline as ${CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT:-$(ls -td "$HOME"/.claude/plugins/cache/insight-wave/cogni-portfolio/*/ | head -1)} — the first call works whether or not the harness injects $CLAUDE_PLUGIN_ROOT. Keep the inline form in every call; do not strip it.

This skill is the web discovery counterpart to ingest. Where ingest populates a portfolio from uploaded documents, scan populates it from a company's public websites — discovering subsidiaries, scanning their domains for service offerings, classifying everything against the portfolio's taxonomy template, and importing the results as portfolio entities.

The scan produces two outputs:

  1. A portfolio report (research/{slug}-portfolio.md) — structured markdown covering all taxonomy dimensions and categories with evidence-linked offerings
  2. Portfolio entities (products and features) — ready for downstream use in propositions, solutions, and packages

The taxonomy template maps to the data model via the product template: dimensions become products, discovered offerings become features. See the template's product-template.md for the full mapping.

Pipeline position:

setup → scan (web) → features (refine) → products (organize) → propositions → ...
setup → ingest (docs) → features (refine) → products (organize) → propositions → ...

Prerequisites

A cogni-portfolio project must exist for this company. If cogni-portfolio/{slug}/portfolio.json does not exist, instruct the user to run cogni-portfolio:portfolio-setup first.

Setup integration: This skill is typically invoked from portfolio-setup Step 5.5 when a company URL and taxonomy template are available. It also works standalone after setup. When invoked from setup, Phase 0 prerequisites are already satisfied.

The company.products array in portfolio.json (if present) provides initial orientation but will be superseded by scan's structured discovery.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

portfolio-scan is a skill published in the GitHub repository cogni-work/insight-wave (13 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 152 tokens to every session and 12,141 once invoked, about $0.0008 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it C with 1 finding (recursive force delete). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-04.
