Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00146 | $0.05032 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00058 | $0.02013 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00029 | $0.01006 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00015 | $0.00503 |
Grade A, and why
value-modeler scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 423 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Value Modeler
Transform agreed trend candidates into customer-specific, ranked solution recommendations by building TIPS relationship networks and generating Solution Templates — the missing link between trend insight and concrete action.
Based on the TIPS Value Modeler methodology (Siemens patent WO2018046399A1, freely usable).
What This Skill Does
The trend-scout skill produces 60 agreed candidates across 4 dimensions. Each candidate lives in its dimension as a standalone item. This skill connects them:
- Builds TIPS value chains — explicit Trend → Implication → Possibility causal chains across dimensions
- Consolidates into Investment Themes (Handlungsfelder) — clusters value chains into 3-7 MECE investment domains
- Generates Solution Templates with Blueprints — concrete enablers per investment theme with multi-dimensional portfolio composition (natural deduplication)
- Generates SPIs — operational process changes that accompany each Solution Template
- Defines success Metrics — KPIs that measure value delivery per investment theme
- Suggests Collaterals — supporting content (case studies, reference architectures) per ST
- Enables Business Relevance scoring — customer-specific 1-5 ratings per TIP
- Ranks solutions automatically — using the F1 averaging formula from the patent
- Generates a Big Block diagram — the customer-specific solution architecture organized by investment theme
- Curates catalog feedback — promotes pursuit-specific insights back to industry catalogs
The output is a structured strategy with 3-7 investment themes, each containing ranked solutions backed by trend evidence and scored for business relevance. This gives the customer a CxO-ready investment portfolio — not a flat list of 18 solutions, but 5 distinct areas to fund and champion.
Prerequisites
- A completed trend-scout project with
workflow_state: "agreed"in.metadata/trend-scout-output.json - Recommended: If a cogni-portfolio project exists in the workspace, run
/bridge portfolio-to-tipsbefore starting value-modeler. This exports your product features, propositions, and pricing so Phase 2 generates Solution Templates grounded in your actual products. Without it, solutions will be abstract and require manual portfolio mapping later. If trend-scout was linked to a portfolio market, this skill automatically picks up that connection — no need to re-discover. - No portfolio? If no cogni-portfolio project exists, the value-modeler offers a generic B2B ICT portfolio (7 products, 51 features with IS-layer descriptions and taxonomy mappings) derived from the B2B ICT taxonomy. DOES/MEANS propositions are generated dynamically based on the project's research context (industry, subsector, research topic). This provides taxonomy-grounded solution blueprints with coverage data instead of abstract solutions, giving users a tangible view of which ICT capability dimensions each solution requires. The generic portfolio can be replaced with a company-specific one at any time.

What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
- 1mo ago First seen · 423 lines · 146 tokens per session scan A f5b26d550b3b
value-modeler is a skill published in the GitHub repository cogni-work/insight-wave (13 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 146 tokens to every session and 5,032 once invoked, about $0.0006 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-04.
