website-build

website-build is a skill for Claude Code from cogni-work/insight-wave. It costs 126 tokens per session (2,271 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A website build skill that turns a website plan into a deployable static website, meaning pages made from files rather than a database-driven application.

In plain words
What is it for?
It reads the project and site plan, generates CSS, creates pages, renders the hero section, assembles the website, and checks whether required legal pages are configured.
Why use it?
It coordinates the shared styling, page creation, homepage hero, and final assembly needed to produce the site.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00126 $0.02271
Opus 5.5 $0.00050 $0.00908
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00025 $0.00454
Haiku 4.5 $0.00013 $0.00227

Security

Grade A, and why

website-build scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (scripts/generate-css.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Website Build

Orchestrate the full website generation pipeline: shared CSS, homepage hero, parallel page generation, and site assembly.

Prerequisites

Both website-project.json and website-plan.json must exist (from setup and plan skills). If missing, redirect to the appropriate skill.

Workflow

1. Load Configuration

Read website-project.json and website-plan.json. Extract:

  • Theme path and design variables path
  • All page specs from the plan
  • Navigation structure
  • Build options (hero_renderer, language)
  • Company details

1.4. Legal Compliance Gate

Before validating sources, check the legal-pages state:

  1. Read legal_config.jurisdiction from website-project.json.
  2. If jurisdiction is null: warn the user — "Keine Rechtsordnung konfiguriert. Die Website hat kein Impressum, keine Datenschutzerklärung und keinen Cookie-Hinweis. Vor Veröffentlichung in DE/AT/CH/EU rechtliche Pflicht. Bitte /website-legal ausführen oder explizit bestätigen, dass diese Seiten extern bereitgestellt werden." Do not abort — let the user proceed if they confirm.
  3. If jurisdiction is set, scan website-plan.json for legal-* page entries (ids starting with legal-).
  4. If none are present, stop and tell the user: "Rechtsordnung ist auf {jurisdiction} gesetzt, aber es sind keine rechtlichen Seiten im Plan. Bitte /website-legal ausführen, dann erneut /website-build." Offer to invoke website-legal immediately via the Skill tool.
  5. If legal pages exist, scan their rendered markdown sources (content/legal/*.md) for unfilled «TODO: ...» markers and warn the user about each one before continuing — these will appear as visible markers in the published HTML.
  6. Check legal_config.cookie_categories.uses_analytics and legal_config.cookie_categories.uses_marketing_cookies. If either is true, warn loudly: "Die Website verwendet Analyse- oder Marketing-Cookies. Der statische Cookie-Hinweis erfüllt nicht die Anforderungen von DSGVO/TTDSG/ePrivacy — er ist nur für Seiten mit ausschließlich technisch notwendigen Cookies korrekt. Vor der Veröffentlichung muss output/website/.partials/cookie-notice.html durch ein echtes Consent-Management-Tool ersetzt werden." Do not abort — let the user proceed if they confirm.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
