website-plan

website-plan is a skill for Claude Code from cogni-work/insight-wave. It costs 129 tokens per session (4,959 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A planning workflow for deciding the structure of a cogni-website project. It discovers available content, proposes pages, and maps that content to page sections in a website-plan.json blueprint.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to plan website pages, organize portfolio and marketing content, and prepare the blueprint consumed by the website builder.
Why use it?
It turns scattered content and project settings into a concrete site structure before the build begins. This helps ensure the builder knows which pages and sections to create.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00129 $0.04959
Opus 5.5 $0.00052 $0.01984
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00026 $0.00992
Haiku 4.5 $0.00013 $0.00496

Security

Grade A, and why

website-plan scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Website Plan

Plan the site structure by discovering available content, proposing pages, and mapping content sources to page templates. Produces website-plan.json — the blueprint that website-build executes.

Prerequisites

A website-project.json must exist (created by website-setup). If not found, redirect to the setup skill.

Workflow

1. Load Project Configuration

Read website-project.json to get:

  • Content source paths (portfolio, marketing)
  • Company details (name, tagline, language)
  • Build options (hero renderer, blog, case studies)
  • Content discovery counts

2. Deep Content Scan

Go beyond the counts from setup — read actual content to understand what's available for each page type.

Portfolio Scan

Narratives first — these are the primary spine of narrative pages (home, about, capability, persona, approach). Raw entity JSON becomes enrichment, not the spine.

The v2 portfolio-communicate customer-narrative layout produces one arc-structured file per website component. Each file carries arc_id + arc_display_name in its YAML frontmatter (see cogni-portfolio/skills/portfolio-communicate/references/templates-customer-narrative.md for the scope → arc mapping). Read the arc id once per file and store it on the plan entry — step 6a dispatches on it:

  • Read output/communicate/customer-narrative/home.md — frontmatter + prose. Arc: jtbd-portfolio. Spine for the homepage.
  • Read output/communicate/customer-narrative/about.md — frontmatter + prose. Arc: company-credo. Spine for the About page (now a structured narrative page, not a flat entity page).
  • Read output/communicate/customer-narrative/approach.md — frontmatter + prose. Arc: engagement-model. Spine for the How-We-Work / Unser Ansatz page.
  • Read every output/communicate/customer-narrative/capabilities/*.md — each becomes the spine for one capability page. Arc: corporate-visions. Extract the feature slug from the filename.
  • Read every output/communicate/customer-narrative/for/*.md — each becomes the spine for one persona landing page. Arc: jtbd-portfolio. Extract market + persona slugs from frontmatter (or from the {market}--{persona} filename).

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
