Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00106 | $0.02702 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00042 | $0.01081 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00021 | $0.00540 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00011 | $0.00270 |
Grade A, and why
a2a-setup scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 28d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 161 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
A2A (Agent2Agent) Setup Guide
When NOT to use A2A
Several agents in the same project are not a reason to use A2A. If the user wants agents in one project to work together ("connect these two agents", "let the triage agent hand off to the billing agent"), use Cognigy's native Handover to AI Agent tool on the calling AI Agent node. It transfers the conversation to another AI Agent in the same or a different Flow and keeps the conversation context. A2A would instead publish an endpoint, add an Agent Card, auth and network latency, and run the target as a separate conversation.
This plugin cannot create a Handover to AI Agent tool yet. Tell the user to add it in the Cognigy UI (AI Agent node → Tools → Add Tool → Handover to AI Agent). Don't build an A2A setup as a workaround.
Use A2A only when at least one of these holds:
- The target agent is outside the project: an external or third-party A2A agent, another team's deployment, another project or tenant.
- The user wants to expose a Cognigy agent to outside callers over A2A.
- The user explicitly asks for A2A by name.
If it's unclear whether the user means in-project handover or A2A, ask.
Read this first
manage_a2a_serverpublishes a callable endpoint. WithauthenticationType: "none"anyone who has the URL can call the agent. Confirm with the user before you create one, and tell them that.- Gotcha (Cognigy targets only): a
manage_a2a_serverendpoint lives at/a2a/v1/<URLToken>, not the plain endpoint URL. Always copyagentBaseUrlstraight from that tool's response — don't build it yourself. External/third-party agents don't have this quirk; just use whatever base URL they publish. - Always check
liveCheckon themanage_a2a_serverresponse before telling the user the agent is ready —created: truealone doesn't mean it's callable yet. Every create/update fetches the Agent Card live and returnsliveCheck.reachable. This works for API-key endpoints too: the key guards message requests, not the Agent Card.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

a2a-setup is a skill published in the GitHub repository Cognigy/cognigy-plugin (18 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 106 tokens to every session and 2,702 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-10.
