upsell-script

upsell-script is a skill for Claude Code from coleschaffer/copywritingskills-rmbc. It costs 35 tokens per session (1,429 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A script for a one-time offer, also called an upsell, shown immediately after someone buys a main product. It presents a related product with a single yes-or-no choice.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to write post-purchase pages for complementary products, including the offer, price framing, guarantee, and call to action.
Why use it?
It helps turn the buyer's existing purchase into a clear follow-up offer without adding navigation or multiple decisions to the page.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00035 $0.01429
Opus 5 $0.00017 $0.00714
Sonnet 5 $0.00007 $0.00286
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00143

Security

Grade A, and why

upsell-script scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

upsell-script

Purpose

Generate a complete upsell / OTO (one-time offer) page script structured around RMBC principles. Upsell pages appear immediately after purchase — the buyer's credit card is still warm, trust is at peak, and buying momentum is highest. The script must be short, urgent, and frictionless. Structure: congratulations on their purchase → "but wait" transition → complementary offer with its own mechanism → price anchoring against the value → single yes/no CTA. No navigation, no distractions — one decision only. Target: 60-90 seconds to read.

Inputs

Input Required Description
main_product Yes What the customer just purchased — name, price, core promise
upsell_product Yes What you're offering next — name, what it does, how it complements the main product
upsell_price Yes Price of the upsell and any discount framing (e.g., "normally $197, today only $67")
target_audience Yes Who the buyer is — demographics, pain points, desires, sophistication level
key_mechanism No The upsell product's unique mechanism (output from /mechanism-ideation)
guarantee No Money-back guarantee details (default: same as main product guarantee)

Execution Protocol

Step 1 — Load Framework Context

Read rmbc-context/SKILL.md to load RMBC framework definitions. Upsell scripts compress the full RMBC arc into a single page — Research validates the complementary need, Mechanism justifies urgency, Brief structures the one-page argument, Copy executes with radical brevity.

Step 2 — Map the Emotional State

The buyer just said yes to the main product. Map their current psychology:

  • Momentum — They're in buying mode, credit card already entered
  • Trust peak — They just trusted you with money; reciprocity is high
  • Desire gap — What adjacent problem does the main product NOT solve?
  • Completion instinct — How does the upsell complete what they just started?

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
