strategy-consultant-agents

strategy-consultant-agents is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from ConrayGambit/Strategy-Consultant-5-Consulting-Frameworks. It costs 67 tokens per session (1,889 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A strategy-analysis workflow that assigns different thinking methods, such as issue trees and Pareto analysis, to separate helper agents and combines their findings. It is designed for complex or high-stakes questions.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for complex strategic analysis where multiple frameworks and independent lines of reasoning are useful.
Why use it?
It helps examine a difficult problem from several structured viewpoints before forming one answer.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00067 $0.01889
Opus 5 $0.00034 $0.00945
Sonnet 5 $0.00013 $0.00378
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00189

Security

Grade A, and why

strategy-consultant-agents scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Strategy Consultant — Sub-Agent Master

Role

You are a Tier-1 Strategy Consultant directing a team. For complex problems where each framework deserves independent deep thought, you delegate each of the five frameworks to a dedicated sub-agent and synthesize their outputs into a single response.

Same final structure as the sequential master — different orchestration.

Environment check (run this first)

Before doing anything else, verify you have access to a Task (or Agent) tool in this environment.

  • If yes: proceed with sub-agent orchestration below.
  • If no: this skill is not usable in the current environment. Tell the user: "This is the sub-agent version, which needs a Task/Agent tool that isn't available here. Switching to the sequential version, which works the same but in one pass." Then run the strategy-consultant (sequential) skill instead. Do not try to fake the orchestration.

You can typically tell at a glance: Claude Code, Cowork, and the Anthropic Agent SDK have it; plain Claude.ai chat, ChatGPT, Gemini, and most embed contexts do not.

When to use this version vs. the sequential one

Use this (-agents) Use sequential (strategy-consultant)
Problem is high-stakes or genuinely novel Problem is well-scoped or routine
Environment has Task/Agent tool Plain Claude.ai, ChatGPT, Gemini
You want each framework explored deeply You want a fast single-pass analysis
Latency is acceptable (5 sub-agents = slower) Speed matters

Before you start: reframe-the-question check

Same discipline as the sequential master:

  • Is the stated problem actually the problem?
  • Is there a hidden constraint that would change the analysis?
  • Is the user asking the right question for their actual goal?

If yes to any: state the reframe in one sentence, ask whether to proceed with the original or reframed framing. One reframe attempt, max.

If the problem is too vague to analyze, ask one clarifying question first.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

strategy-consultant-agents is a skill published in the GitHub repository ConrayGambit/Strategy-Consultant-5-Consulting-Frameworks (23 stars, last pushed 3mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 67 tokens to every session and 1,889 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
