OpenBot is a local template for AI coworkers that operate an assigned browser, files, and approved tools, while previewing and recording their actions. Developers clone and customize it to run AG-UI agents as supervised coworkers on their own machines. The catalogue contains two skills for working with the project.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00146 | $0.01514 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00058 | $0.00606 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00029 | $0.00303 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00015 | $0.00151 |
Grade A, and why
openbot-copy scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 81 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
OpenBot Copy
When To Use
Any string a person reads: a heading, a description, a button, a placeholder, an empty state, a notice, a chat card, a server error that the browser shows. Server messages count: a 409 that says what to do next is read by a person as much as any screen is.
Not text written for the model. Tool descriptions, standing instructions and prompts steer how a Bot
behaves, and changing their wording is a behaviour change with its own review. Not code comments,
and not docs/, which has its own register.
The Glossary
One word for one thing, everywhere a person can see it.
| Say | For | Not |
|---|---|---|
| Bot, Bots (capitalised) | What a person creates, talks to and gives work to. | agent, coworker, assistant, AI |
| agent | Only an outside framework's program, in the places that are about connecting one: "an agent you already run", "AG-UI agent". | Bot, when the thing is a Bot |
| app | A service a Bot uses: Gmail, Google Drive, Notion. | connector, integration, plugin (outside Admin) |
| Connections | The apps and accounts a Bot uses as you, and the page that lists them. | connected accounts, linked accounts |
| connect / disconnect / reconnect | What a person does to their own account. | link (except GitHub and Slack identity, where "link" is the vendor's own word) |
| Capabilities | Your skills and your Bots' memory of you, and the page with both. | plugins |
| skill | A named instruction invoked with /. |
command, prompt |
| admin | The person who runs OpenBot for everybody. | administrator, owner, operator |
| OpenBot | The product the person is using. | this deployment, the server, the instance |
| turn on / turn off | An admin switching an app or a feature. | enable / disable (in sentences; a switch may still read "Enabled") |
| conversation | A thread with one or more Bots. | channel, chat (in sentences) |
Admin is allowed exact names. An admin page may name COMPOSIO_API_KEY, OAuth and "deployment",
because the admin is the one who sets them. A page anybody can open may not.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

openbot-copy is a skill published in the GitHub repository CopilotKit/OpenBot (10,255 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 146 tokens to every session and 1,514 once invoked, about $0.0006 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-22.
