Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

What it costs to keep this loaded
Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00063 | $0.02314 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00025 | $0.00926 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00013 | $0.00463 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00006 | $0.00231 |
Grade A, and why
gmail scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 340 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Gmail
Access the Gmail API with managed OAuth authentication. Read, send, and manage emails, threads, labels, and drafts.
Quick Start
# List messages
python <<'EOF'
import urllib.request, os, json
req = urllib.request.Request('https://gateway.maton.ai/google-mail/gmail/v1/users/me/messages?maxResults=10')
req.add_header('Authorization', f'Bearer {os.environ["MATON_API_KEY"]}')
print(json.dumps(json.load(urllib.request.urlopen(req)), indent=2))
EOF
Base URL
https://gateway.maton.ai/google-mail/{native-api-path}
Replace {native-api-path} with the actual Gmail API endpoint path. The gateway proxies requests to gmail.googleapis.com and automatically injects your OAuth token.
Authentication
All requests require the Maton API key in the Authorization header:
Authorization: Bearer $MATON_API_KEY
Environment Variable: Set your API key as MATON_API_KEY:
export MATON_API_KEY="YOUR_API_KEY"
Getting Your API Key
- Sign in or create an account at maton.ai
- Go to maton.ai/settings
- Copy your API key
Connection Management
Manage your Google OAuth connections at https://ctrl.maton.ai.
List Connections
python <<'EOF'
import urllib.request, os, json
req = urllib.request.Request('https://ctrl.maton.ai/connections?app=google-mail&status=ACTIVE')
req.add_header('Authorization', f'Bearer {os.environ["MATON_API_KEY"]}')
print(json.dumps(json.load(urllib.request.urlopen(req)), indent=2))
EOF
Create Connection
python <<'EOF'
import urllib.request, os, json
data = json.dumps({'app': 'google-mail'}).encode()
req = urllib.request.Request('https://ctrl.maton.ai/connections', data=data, method='POST')
req.add_header('Authorization', f'Bearer {os.environ["MATON_API_KEY"]}')
req.add_header('Content-Type', 'application/json')
print(json.dumps(json.load(urllib.request.urlopen(req)), indent=2))
EOF
Get Connection
python <<'EOF'
import urllib.request, os, json
req = urllib.request.Request('https://ctrl.maton.ai/connections/{connection_id}')
req.add_header('Authorization', f'Bearer {os.environ["MATON_API_KEY"]}')
print(json.dumps(json.load(urllib.request.urlopen(req)), indent=2))
EOF
What ships with it
3 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
- 1mo ago First seen · 340 lines · 63 tokens per session scan A d02d9b39ea27
gmail is a skill published in the GitHub repository CraftOS-dev/CraftBot (396 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 63 tokens to every session and 2,314 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
