scaffold-feature

scaffold-feature is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Cratis/AI. It costs 50 tokens per session (535 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A skill that creates the basic structure for a new feature in a Cratis-based application, including its page, folder, route, and navigation link.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when adding a feature, section, or page that does not yet exist, so the application can open it through routing and navigation.
Why use it?
It handles the setup work needed before developers can build the feature's individual sections, reducing missed wiring between files.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00050 $0.00535
Opus 5 $0.00025 $0.00267
Sonnet 5 $0.00010 $0.00107
Haiku 4.5 $0.00005 $0.00053

Security

Grade A, and why

scaffold-feature scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Scaffold a brand-new feature folder with routing and navigation — ready for slices.

What to produce

1 — Feature folder

<Feature>/ ← directly under the app source root (or under an optional <Module>/) — no Features/ wrapper
├── <Feature>.tsx    ← composition page
├── <Feature>.css    ← feature-level styles (can be empty initially)
└── index.ts         ← re-exports the composition page

2 — Composition page (<Feature>.tsx)

// Copyright (c) Cratis. All rights reserved.
// Licensed under the MIT license. See LICENSE file in the project root for full license information.

import { Page } from '@cratis/components/Common';

export const <Feature> = () => {
    return (
        <Page title="<NavigationLabel>">
            {/* Slices will be composed here */}
        </Page>
    );
};

3 — index.ts

// Copyright (c) Cratis. All rights reserved.
// Licensed under the MIT license. See LICENSE file in the project root for full license information.

export { <Feature> } from './<Feature>';

4 — Update routing

Locate the app router (typically App.tsx or a routes.ts file) and add:

import { <Feature> } from './<Feature>';

{ path: '<route-path>', element: <<Feature> /> }

5 — Update navigation

Locate the sidebar/navigation configuration and add:

import * as mdIcons from 'react-icons/md';

{
    label: '<NavigationLabel>',
    icon: mdIcons.<NavigationIcon>,
    url: '<route-path>'
}

Rules

  • Feature name: PascalCase (e.g. Projects, Invoices)
  • Route path: kebab-case (e.g. /projects, /user-management)
  • Navigation icon: from react-icons/md — e.g. MdFolderOpen, MdPeople
  • Copyright header on every file

Validation

Run yarn lint and npx tsc -b. Fix all errors. Confirm the blank page renders without runtime errors.

Next step

Add slices using the new-vertical-slice skill.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
