orchardcore-antivirus

orchardcore-antivirus is a skill for Claude Code from CrestApps/CrestApps.AgentSkills. It costs 182 tokens per session (1,586 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A coding-agent skill for checking uploaded files with ClamAV, an antivirus scanner, before Orchard Core stores them. It covers the shared upload pipeline and rejects files when scanning detects malware or fails.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to configure ClamAV for Orchard Core uploads and to implement or review custom file handlers that scan files before and after storage.
Why use it?
It helps prevent unsafe uploads from being stored and explains how scanner errors, timeouts, and custom file-saving code should be handled.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00182 $0.01586
Opus 5.5 $0.00073 $0.00634
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00036 $0.00317
Haiku 4.5 $0.00018 $0.00159

Security

Grade A, and why

orchardcore-antivirus scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Orchard Core Antivirus - Prompt Templates

Scan Uploads with ClamAV

You are an Orchard Core expert. Generate configuration and deployment guidance for scanning uploaded files with ClamAV before Orchard Core stores them.

Guidelines

  • OrchardCore.Antivirus.ClamAV (ClamAV Antivirus Scanner, Security category) registers a ClamAV IFileEventHandler in the shared file upload security pipeline. The pipeline itself (FileCreationService, custom upload code, custom handlers) is covered by orchardcore-file-upload-security.
  • The module ships with Orchard Core 4.0 and is part of OrchardCore.Application.Cms.Core.Targets. Only an app that references individual modules needs <PackageReference Include="OrchardCore.Antivirus" Version="4.*" /> in the web project.
  • It fails closed: a malware detection rejects the upload, and a missing Host, invalid settings, connection failure, timeout, or unexpected clamd response also rejects it.
  • Only uploads that go through the pipeline are scanned; see the coverage list below.
  • All recipe JSON must be wrapped in the root { "steps": [...] } format.

Enabling the Feature

Configure the connection before enabling the feature; until clamd is reachable every upload is rejected.

{
  "steps": [
    {
      "name": "feature",
      "enable": [
        "OrchardCore.Antivirus.ClamAV"
      ]
    }
  ]
}

Configuration

The section is OrchardCore:Antivirus:ClamAV (new in 4.0, no legacy OrchardCore_ name). It is read through IShellConfiguration, so it can be set per tenant, and the package ships ConfigurationSchema.json for appsettings IntelliSense.

{
  "OrchardCore": {
    "Antivirus": {
      "ClamAV": {
        "Host": "clamav",
        "Port": 3310,
        "ConnectTimeoutSeconds": 5,
        "TransferTimeoutSeconds": 30
      }
    }
  }
}
Setting Default Description
Host none Host name or IP of the clamd service. Required.
Port 3310 clamd TCP port, 1 to 65535.
ConnectTimeoutSeconds 5 Connection timeout, greater than zero.
TransferTimeoutSeconds 30 Timeout for streaming the file and reading the verdict, greater than zero. Raise it for large uploads.

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

orchardcore-antivirus is a skill published in the GitHub repository CrestApps/CrestApps.AgentSkills (13 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 182 tokens to every session and 1,586 once invoked, about $0.0007 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-21.
