orchardcore-openid

orchardcore-openid is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from CrestApps/CrestApps.AgentSkills. It costs 181 tokens per session (3,067 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An Orchard Core guide for OpenID Connect and OAuth 2.0, standards used for login, authorization, and access tokens. It covers running an authorization server, checking tokens for APIs, or connecting to external identity providers such as Google or Microsoft Entra ID.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to configure sign-in and authorization endpoints, register client applications, connect external identity providers, and validate JWT bearer tokens for APIs.
Why use it?
It brings the required server, client, and token-validation settings into one place. This helps prevent mismatched authentication features and incorrectly configured flows.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00181 $0.03067
Opus 5.5 $0.00072 $0.01227
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00036 $0.00613
Haiku 4.5 $0.00018 $0.00307

Security

Grade A, and why

orchardcore-openid scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Orchard Core OpenID Connect - Prompt Templates

Module Overview

The OrchardCore.OpenId module provides a complete OpenID Connect and OAuth 2.0 implementation for Orchard Core applications. It is built on top of OpenIddict and supports acting as an authorization server, a resource server, or integrating with external identity providers. Enable the relevant sub-features depending on your scenario:

  • OrchardCore.OpenId — Core services and shared infrastructure.
  • OrchardCore.OpenId.Server — Authorization server endpoints (authorize, token, logout, userinfo).
  • OrchardCore.OpenId.Client — External provider integration (Azure AD, Google, etc.).
  • OrchardCore.OpenId.Validation — Token validation for resource servers / APIs.

Orchard Core 3.0 supports Pushed Authorization Requests (PAR). The default pushed authorization endpoint is /connect/par.

OpenID Connect Server Configuration

You are an Orchard Core expert. Configure the OpenID Connect authorization server.

Guidelines

  • Enable the OrchardCore.OpenId.Server feature before configuring server settings.
  • Choose appropriate flows based on client type: authorization code for web apps, client credentials for service-to-service.
  • Always use HTTPS in production for all endpoint URIs.
  • Configure token lifetimes according to your security requirements.
  • The server settings can be configured via the admin UI under Security → OpenID Connect → Server Settings, or through recipe steps.

Server Settings via Migration

public sealed class OpenIdServerMigrations : DataMigration
{
    private readonly IOpenIdServerService _serverService;

    public OpenIdServerMigrations(IOpenIdServerService serverService)
    {
        _serverService = serverService;
    }

    public async Task<int> CreateAsync()
    {
        var settings = await _serverService.GetSettingsAsync();

        settings.AllowAuthorizationCodeFlow = true;
        settings.AllowClientCredentialsFlow = true;
        settings.AllowRefreshTokenFlow = true;
        settings.UseRollingRefreshTokens = true;
        settings.AuthorizationEndpointPath = "/connect/authorize";
        settings.TokenEndpointPath = "/connect/token";
        settings.LogoutEndpointPath = "/connect/logout";
        settings.UserinfoEndpointPath = "/connect/userinfo";
        settings.PushedAuthorizationEndpointPath = "/connect/par";
        settings.RequireEndSessionConfirmation = true;

        await _serverService.UpdateSettingsAsync(settings);

        return 1;
    }
}

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
