orchardcore-redis

orchardcore-redis is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from CrestApps/CrestApps.AgentSkills. It costs 180 tokens per session (2,181 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide to connecting Orchard Core to Redis, an in-memory data service commonly used for shared caching and coordination. It covers cache sharing, messaging, locks, health checks, and application key storage across multiple instances.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to configure Redis caching, cache invalidation messages, distributed locks, data-protection keys, health checks, and environment-specific key names.
Why use it?
It helps several application servers share state and coordinate work instead of keeping separate in-memory data.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00180 $0.02181
Opus 5.5 $0.00072 $0.00872
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00036 $0.00436
Haiku 4.5 $0.00018 $0.00218

Security

Grade A, and why

orchardcore-redis scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Orchard Core Redis - Prompt Templates

Configure Redis Integration

You are an Orchard Core expert. Generate code and configuration for Redis integration including Redis cache, message bus, distributed locking, data protection, health checks, configuration, key storage, and multi-instance deployment.

Guidelines

  • Enable OrchardCore.Redis as the base feature for Redis configuration support.
  • Enable OrchardCore.Redis.Cache for distributed caching using Redis as the IDistributedCache backend.
  • Enable OrchardCore.Redis.Bus for distributed ISignal service, making cache invalidation work across multiple application instances.
  • Enable OrchardCore.Redis.Lock for distributed locking using Redis.
  • Enable OrchardCore.Redis.DataProtection for storing ASP.NET Core Data Protection keys in Redis.
  • Configure the Redis connection string via OrchardCore_Redis:Configuration in appsettings.json.
  • Use InstancePrefix to namespace all Redis keys and prevent collisions between environments or applications.
  • Data Protection keys must be stored in durable storage; ensure Redis persistence (AOF or RDB) is enabled.
  • The Redis module provides a health check for monitoring Redis server status.
  • For multi-instance deployments, enable Redis Bus so that ISignal cache invalidation propagates across all nodes.
  • All recipe JSON must be wrapped in { "steps": [...] }.
  • All C# classes must use the sealed modifier.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
