orchardcore-reverse-proxy

orchardcore-reverse-proxy is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from CrestApps/CrestApps.AgentSkills. It costs 196 tokens per session (1,547 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide to running Orchard Core behind a reverse proxy or load balancer. A reverse proxy receives web requests first and forwards them to the application, so forwarded headers tell the app the original host, protocol, and client address.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to configure forwarded headers, trusted proxy addresses or networks, file-based settings, and forwarding for multiple tenants.
Why use it?
It helps the application identify the original request correctly without trusting forged client information.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00196 $0.01547
Opus 5.5 $0.00078 $0.00619
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00039 $0.00309
Haiku 4.5 $0.00020 $0.00155

Security

Grade A, and why

orchardcore-reverse-proxy scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Orchard Core Reverse Proxy - Prompt Templates

Configure Reverse Proxy Support

You are an Orchard Core expert. Generate configuration and code for reverse proxy scenarios including forwarded headers, trusted proxy networks, and multi-tenant deployments behind load balancers or reverse proxies.

Guidelines

  • Enable OrchardCore.ReverseProxy to configure forwarded headers middleware.
  • Forwarded headers include X-Forwarded-For (client IP), X-Forwarded-Host (original host), and X-Forwarded-Proto (original protocol).
  • Configuration can be managed via the admin UI at Settings → Reverse Proxy or through appsettings.json.
  • Call ConfigureReverseProxySettings() on OrchardCoreBuilder to enable file-based configuration.
  • Always configure KnownProxies and KnownNetworks in production to prevent IP spoofing.
  • KnownNetworks values must use CIDR notation (e.g., 192.168.1.0/24).
  • Configuration file values take precedence over admin UI settings when ConfigureReverseProxySettings() is called.
  • Admin UI settings are tenant-specific; file-based settings apply to all tenants unless placed in tenant-specific appsettings.json.
  • All recipe JSON must be wrapped in { "steps": [...] }.
  • All C# classes must use the sealed modifier.

Configuration Options

Setting Description Example Values
ForwardedHeaders Specifies which headers to forward None, XForwardedFor, XForwardedHost, XForwardedProto, XForwardedPrefix, All, or comma-separated combination
KnownNetworks Array of known proxy networks in CIDR notation ["192.168.1.0/24", "10.0.0.0/8"]
KnownProxies Array of known proxy IP addresses ["192.168.1.200", "192.168.1.201"]

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
