node-setup

node-setup is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from cruzs85/opencode-multiagente-local-37-iterations. It costs 22 tokens per session (497 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command pattern for using a selected Node.js version with npm, npx, or Angular commands. Node.js is the software runtime used to run many JavaScript development tools.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for installing or switching to Node.js 22, creating Angular projects, installing packages, running builds, and running tests.
Why use it?
Each shell command starts separately, so it ensures the required Node.js version is loaded before the command runs.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00022 $0.00497
Opus 5 $0.00011 $0.00249
Sonnet 5 $0.00004 $0.00099
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00050

Security

Grade A, and why

node-setup scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 4d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Node.js Setup con NVM

Cada invocacion de bash es un shell SEPARADO. NO se puede hacer source en un bash call y npx en otro. TODO debe ir en UNA sola linea con &&.

Patron obligatorio

source ~/.nvm/nvm.sh && (nvm use 22 || (nvm install 22 && nvm use 22)) && <comando>

nvm use 22 || (nvm install 22 && nvm use 22) es condicional: solo instala si la version no existe. No reinstala innecesariamente.

Ejemplos

source ~/.nvm/nvm.sh && nvm use 22 && npx @angular/[email protected] new dino-runner --style=scss --routing
source ~/.nvm/nvm.sh && nvm use 22 && npm run build
source ~/.nvm/nvm.sh && nvm use 22 && npx vitest run

Optimizacion: encadenar comandos

Varios comandos en una misma invocacion ahorra toolcalls:

source ~/.nvm/nvm.sh && nvm use 22 && npx @angular/[email protected] new dino-runner --style=scss --routing --directory=proyecto && cd proyecto && npm install && npm run build

Comandos posteriores (build, test)

Una vez que el proyecto existe, usar npm run en vez de npx ng. Esto evita el problema de que npx use su propia cache de Node version:

source ~/.nvm/nvm.sh && nvm use 22 && cd <proyecto> && npm run build
source ~/.nvm/nvm.sh && nvm use 22 && cd <proyecto> && npx vitest run

Reglas

  • Angular CLI 21.x requiere Node >= 22.22.3.
  • build resuelve la version exacta con Context7 y la pasa en el task(). Usar ESA version.
  • Si el comando falla, reportar a build (build preguntara al usuario que hacer).
  • NO asumir que un bash call anterior dejo nvm cargado
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

node-setup is a skill published in the GitHub repository cruzs85/opencode-multiagente-local-37-iterations (5 stars, last pushed 1mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 22 tokens to every session and 497 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
