supergoal

supergoal is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from cskwork/oh-my-symphony. It costs 24 tokens per session (739 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A delivery workflow for choosing how to handle a product task: mapping work, building a new feature, fixing a bug, or changing an existing system. It applies a small-change, test-first process and checks results against the requested proof.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to plan a product area, build a new vertical slice, debug broken behaviour, or safely extend legacy code.
Why use it?
It gives coding work a consistent route instead of treating every ticket the same way. It also makes blocked or missing verification visible rather than presenting an unverified change as complete.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00024 $0.00739
Opus 5.5 $0.00010 $0.00296
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00005 $0.00148
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00074

Security

Grade A, and why

supergoal scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 10 executable files (templates/commit-gate.sh, templates/contrast-gate.mjs, templates/db-access/check-connection.sh, …), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 71 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Supergoal factory runtime

One objective -> smallest correct change -> verified against ground truth. This pinned router intentionally exposes only the routes emitted by Oh My Symphony's autonomous factory; every advertised support file ships with the factory.

Standing rules

  • Read .supergoal/rules/RULES.md first when it exists. Use reference/rules.md for the standing-rules contract.
  • Ground truth beats proxy. Run the real proof commands named by the ticket.
  • Keep changes surgical, test first, and report blocked proof honestly.
  • Destructive or outward-facing actions require explicit operator consent.

Route

Ticket signal Mode Runtime
map a product, decompose work, identify the next frontier WAYFINDER reference/wayfinder.md; no product code
build a new vertical slice GREENFIELD reference/role-loop.md
fix broken behavior DEBUG reference/debugging.md, then reference/role-loop.md
add or change an existing system LEGACY reference/domain-context.md, then reference/role-loop.md

WAYFINDER may use reference/research.md when a ticket needs external evidence. Delivery work uses reference/delivery-gate.md and reference/qa.md. When persisted data is load-bearing, use reference/db-access.md. Optional board observability is defined by reference/observability.md.

Delivery loop

  1. Frame the approved ticket in GOAL.md, PLAN.md, QA.md, and run-state.json from templates/.
  2. Build in a fresh isolated worktree. Bugs start with a failing reproduction.
  3. Improve the full ticket, then edge cases.
  4. Run a no-source-edit adversarial review.
  5. Re-run exact proof. Unmet criteria go to R-LOOP.md; complete runs write Z-DONE.md. Never commit before templates/commit-gate.sh is green.

Read reference/role-loop.md for the complete execution and isolation contract. Runtime roles live in agents/executor.md, agents/code-reviewer.md, agents/qa-auditor.md, agents/qa-tester.md, and agents/security-reviewer.md. DEBUG also uses agents/debugger.md; LEGACY discovery uses agents/explore.md.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

supergoal is a skill published in the GitHub repository cskwork/oh-my-symphony (35 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 24 tokens to every session and 739 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-18.
