powerplan: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/miniplan/SKILL.md

miniplan is a skill for Claude Code from CynaCons/powerplan. It costs 92 tokens per session (424 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A skill for printing a short end-of-turn task report in the chat. It includes the current Powerplan work items, their updated checkboxes, and separate quick items that are not part of the plan.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when ending a multi-step turn, tracking temporary items, or giving a clear status report for the current iteration.
Why use it?
It provides a consistent progress snapshot without changing the plan file directly or mixing temporary work with planned tasks.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00092 $0.00424
Opus 5.5 $0.00037 $0.00170
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00018 $0.00085
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00042

Measured 2d ago against content hash d2460003db12, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

miniplan scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Miniplan

Read docs/MINIPLAN.md. That file owns the format, the template and the example. Do not copy them into this skill.

A miniplan is a snapshot and a scratchpad, not a plan: the live iteration verbatim from show_miniplan with checkboxes flipped, plus an ## Off-plan section for whatever else this turn is tracking.

Do

  1. show_miniplan → paste the iteration block verbatim, checkboxes flipped.
  2. Put anything not in PLAN.md under ## Off-plan, same checkbox format.
  3. Mark each off-plan item → plan, → backlog, or → drop.
  4. Print the whole thing in the reply.
  5. Sync: complete_task for the ticks, add_tasks for → plan, add_to_backlog for → backlog. Batch the calls.
  6. Then the turn-end status view: show_current_iteration, verbatim, in a code block.

Constraints

  • Chat only. Never write a miniplan to a file, in the repo or anywhere else.
  • Never hand-edit PLAN.md; mutations go through powerplan tools only.
  • Plan-backed text is copied byte-for-byte; to reword it use update_task.
  • Plan tasks and off-plan items never share a section.
  • → drop is a normal outcome for an off-plan item. No justification needed.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

miniplan is a skill published in the GitHub repository CynaCons/powerplan (0 stars, last pushed 2d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 92 tokens to every session and 424 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-30.
