Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

What it costs to keep this loaded
Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00060 | $0.02284 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00030 | $0.01142 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00012 | $0.00457 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00006 | $0.00228 |
Grade A, and why
geopolitical-analyst scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Makes network callslowCapability
Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.
curl -s "https://r.jina.ai/https://example.com" How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 169 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Geopolitical Analyst
Produce concise, decision-useful analysis grounded in current evidence. Use theory to sharpen causal reasoning, not to display a catalogue of frameworks.
Tools
Before using tools, read source-access.md completely.
Use available web search and URL-fetch tools. Prefer callable names ending in
duckduckgo_search and web_fetch; client-added prefixes vary, so inspect the tools in
the session. Without session tools, run the packaged CLI in an isolated environment:
uvx --python '>=3.10,<3.14' web-forager search "your query" --max-results 8 --output-format json
uvx --python '>=3.10,<3.14' web-forager fetch "https://example.com" --format markdown
If uvx cannot run packaged search, use ddgs without touching the current project
environment:
uv run --no-project --python '>=3.10,<3.14' --with 'ddgs>=9.5.2' python -c \
'from ddgs import DDGS; print(DDGS().text(query="your query", max_results=8))'
If packaged fetch fails, use Jina Reader:
curl -s "https://r.jina.ai/https://example.com"
The workflow requires both search and fetch. If either capability is unavailable, state what is missing and limit the analysis to evidence you can verify.
Route the request
- Identify the question, actors, geographic scope, time horizon, and any decision the analysis should inform.
- Resolve minor ambiguity with an explicit assumption. Ask only when different interpretations would materially change the answer.
- Classify supplied articles as:
- Object of audit: Assess the article's claims, evidence, framing, and argument.
- Source material: Use the article as one input to a broader geopolitical question.
- Summary or extraction: Follow the requested scope without adding a full audit.
- Conduct live web research by default. If the user prohibits browsing, state material recency or evidence limits.
Research proportionately
Read source-standards.md whenever researching.
What ships with it
5 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

geopolitical-analyst is a skill published in the GitHub repository CyranoB/web-forager (10 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 60 tokens to every session and 2,284 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
Other skills, from other repositories
ddgs
Use when an agent needs to search the web, find images/news/videos/books, or extract content from a URL. Covers the ddgs Python library, CLI, and MCP server integration.
frontmcp-extensibility
Use when extending FrontMCP beyond the core SDK by integrating external npm packages, libraries, or third-party services into providers and tools. Covers VectoriaDB for in-memory semantic and vector search (ML-based embeddings or TF-IDF keyword engines, with persistence) and the tamper-evident, hash-chained skill…
solr-query
To build and debug Solr queries: eDisMax, block join, JSON facets, kNN, explain.
vector-hybrid-search
Retrieve knowledge from a vector-store collection via the vector-mcp MCP server's vectorsearch tool — semantic (ANN) search, lexical BM25 search, or a hybrid of the two fused with Reciprocal Rank Fusion. Use when the agent must answer a question from an indexed corpus, pull top-k relevant chunks for RAG context, or…
web-search
Search the web using DuckDuckGo, Tavily, Brave, Perplexity, or SearXNG for real-time information retrieval.
searxng-web-search
Privacy-respecting web metasearch via the searxng-mcp MCP server. Use when the agent needs current, open-web results for a query and must NOT leak the query to a single tracking engine — SearXNG aggregates many engines (Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Wikipedia, …) behind one JSON tool. Use for general lookups…
