Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00120 $0.00617
Opus 5 $0.00060 $0.00309
Sonnet 5 $0.00024 $0.00123
Haiku 4.5 $0.00012 $0.00062

Security

Grade A, and why

methodology-essay-publisher scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 1 executable file (run.sh), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

methodology-essay-publisher

The thesis: the methodology paper is 6,000 words of IP that already exists. Splitting it into 8 essays multiplies organic surface area by 8x at zero marginal Cooper-time cost. Each essay is a self-contained read with a clear "next chapter" path; together they form the same paper, just navigable.

Procedure

bash skills/methodology-essay-publisher/run.sh # full run, both gates, auto-publish
bash skills/methodology-essay-publisher/run.sh --dry-run # parse + render, no publish

Pipeline

  1. Parse docs/methodology.md into chapters by ^## Chapter N headers.
  2. For each chapter, build an essay markdown:
    • 2-paragraph intro framing the chapter as a standalone read.
    • Chapter body verbatim.
    • "What to read next" footer linking to the previous + next chapters and the full methodology page.
  3. Run voice-gate (essay surface, threshold 70 HARD).
  4. Run scrubber HARD on the essay body.
  5. If both pass: render site/essays/<NN>-<slug>.html via static template.
  6. If either fails: write to data/essays/drafts/<NN>-<slug>.md with a _VALIDATION.md companion.
  7. Generate site/essays/index.html listing all published essays.
  8. Update site/index.html footer to include /essays.

Status codes

STATUS=ok published=<N> drafted=<M> / STATUS=skip reason=methodology-missing / STATUS=error reason=<...>

Why one-shot, not recurring

The methodology paper updates rarely (every 1-3 months). A recurring cron would re-publish identical content for no gain. Cooper triggers a re-run when the paper changes; otherwise the essays sit at their canonical URLs and accumulate organic traffic.

P12 — counter-monitor

The 8 published HTML files are static. A counter-monitor isn't necessary because nothing depends on the files being fresh. The methodology paper itself is the source of truth; the essays are derived snapshots that drift only when Cooper edits the source.

Files

What ships with it

3 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
