deepworkplan-addon-vim

deepworkplan-addon-vim is a skill for Claude Code from DailybotHQ/deepworkplan-skill. It costs 171 tokens per session (2,313 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

An optional Neovim-based terminal editor for viewing and working with a Deep Work Plan. Neovim is a text editor that runs in a terminal; this add-on installs a separate machine-level configuration without replacing an existing one without consent.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to access the Deep Work Plan surface from Neovim 0.12 or later while keeping the existing Neovim configuration protected.
Why use it?
It puts the plan's editor view in a familiar terminal workflow for people who use Neovim. The add-on is optional and does not make the editor a requirement for a repository.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00171 $0.02313
Opus 5.5 $0.00068 $0.00925
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00034 $0.00463
Haiku 4.5 $0.00017 $0.00231

Security

Grade A, and why

deepworkplan-addon-vim scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

DeepWorkPlan — Vim Editor Addon

Offer DeepWorkPlan Vim — the terminal editor for Deep Work Plan — to the person working a repository: a machine-level Neovim config (Neovim 0.12+) that puts the plan surface in the editor. This is an opt-in addon, never required for a repo to be AI-first, the editor is never a conformance gate, and an existing Neovim config is never overwritten without explicit consent.

This addon is a thin integrator. The editor is its own product (https://github.com/DailybotHQ/deepworkplan-vim, GPL-3.0, versioned independently); everything this addon claims about it is read from the product's machine-readable surface, addon/surface.json, at the pinned tag — never guessed, never restated from memory.

Pin Value
Product DailybotHQ/deepworkplan-vim
Tag v1.0.0
Interface 1 (read from addon/surface.json → "interface")
Registry key vim (.dwp/config.json → addons.vim)

Read these first (all relative inside the skill)

  • SPEC.md — the normative (RFC-2119) contract: surface-driven detection, the offer, the absolute consent gate, the verified install, post-install validation, never-block rule.
  • templates/INTEGRATION.md — reasoning guidance (NOT copy-paste): the detection states, the consent branch table, per-OS install, smoke probes, reconcile-not-clobber.
  • ../README.md — the addon mechanism (opt-in, reconcile-don't-clobber, the four mandatory components).

When this runs

  • onboard Phase 7b offers it as an explicit opt-in (see ../../onboard/addons.md), after the core AI-first scaffolding.
  • Direct invocation on an already-onboarded repository.
  • Nothing else: create, execute, refine, resume, status and verify never require it, and a repository without it is fully conformant.

Two routes

  1. The full editor (available now, v1.0.0). The whole DeepWorkPlan Vim config: command index, VS Code gestures, the read-only plan browser, the markdown viewer, the consent-first installer. This is what the offer installs.
  2. The Neovim plugin (v7.1, not shipped). A deepworkplan.nvim plugin for people who keep their own Neovim config, carved from the product's self-contained lua/dwp/ modules. It does not exist yet: name it as the route for someone who declines the full editor because of their config, never offer an install of it, never claim it is available.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
